SUNDAY WHAT'S HAPPENING
OK I am back...well I am not sure if I am losing my mind or what but I went to the car dealer yeasterday and ended up with a newer car!!! Yes a newer car!!! I bought a 2010 Chevy Malibu fully loaded. It has 55,000 miles on it and it has a warranty with it. The seats are adjustable and now I can be comfy for the long trip to michigan again. HAHAHA how can I afford to take the trip now I have a larger car payment?? Well its not really that much bigger...if I save my money right I can make it if needed. :-) Will take a ride today see how well we like it on a longer ride. Wasn't bad yesterday but you know how it is with the salesman...lol
Went to bingo last night had chances but didn't win anything. Oh well. Still next week. HAHA.
Tuesday Bandit goes for his bath and haircut...finally!!!!!!!! Boy he sure needs one bad as he smells bad...lol hopefully the weather won't be so cold or he will have to wear his sweater that he hates!!
Rick got the surround system set up finally and the new dvd player last nigh****ched Wrong Turn 5. Boy that one was more like a ***** movie to me. Yuck! Had alot of blood and gore but lots of sex sceens in it and I didn't care much for that at all!!! Not like the other 4 movies at all!!!
Well best go look in the freezer and see what to take out for supper tonight. Many things to choose from thats for sure.
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!
HUGS
Good morning Judy and everyone....
Judy....congrats on the new car!! I had a Malibu and loved it. My sister has one as well as a friend of mine. They are great cars! Sorry you didn't win at Bingo last night....maybe next time!
Vickie...oh how I would love to visit you!! I am sure that town would be fun to go to with you! I am concerned about your shoulder. Please be careful and don't cause anymore damage then is already there done. Have a wonderful date!!!!
Debbie...thanks so much for sharing the recipes. I still haven't tried Quinoa. I can't handle rice and pasta and am afraid this will cause the same kind of pain. One of these days I will get brave!
Mikka...so happy to see you back today!!! I am praying your surgery goes well. You will be so happy when it is done and you feel better.
As for me...I am feeling very weak again today. I just can't do anything. I am really getting worried about this. Oh well, I can't borrow trouble. I will have to see what the doctor says when my results are in. Nothing planned for me today. My BFF, Pam came over last night and set up a Diaper Genie for my sister's bathroom. My sister can put her wet pads in there and they won't be so smelly. Pam is coming back today and tackling my sister's bathroom. It is horrible in there. It needs a thorough cleaning top to bottom. I just can't do it and my sister won't!! She says she is to tired!! That horrible smell has got to stop!! I think that is part of why I am so sick. All those germs and strong smells. That can't be healthy!! My bedroom is next to her's and I am always in my room. She won't even sleep in her room!! I am on her about it all the time. She puts in a few air fresheners and thinks that is enough!! WRONG!!
Wishing you all a wonderful day!! I am going to check Facebook and then back to bed for me!! Have I told you lately how much you all mean to me? You are what keeps me going and fills me up with love and happiness!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Prayers for many in need...a few special ones are needed for some.
Love and many hugs to all....connie d
Sweet Connie, I am concerned about you, too! Damn your sister anyway. I'll be glad when you get to move away from there. You not only have to deal with her mess, you have daily stress from it, too. None of that is good for you. I'm glad Pam is coming to help you.
Now, try not to borrow trouble. Remember what the Bible says: "do not worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will take care of itself; sufficient unto the day are the troubles thereof." (Sorry, I paraphrased a bit; I don't know which box my Bible is in right now!)
Love you! Prayers for you to feel better soon!
Vickie...thank you for always caring about me!!! I am so glad Pam is coming too. I reminded my sister that Pam is doing this for MY health and that she isn't well with her MS either. She just shrugs her shoulders. My sister and the unhealthy situation is really making me so much sicker.
While Pam is cleaning my sister went to the "country bar" to listen to music and dance with her friends. She is so selfish. My parents would not be proud of her right now!! Amazing how that hip only hurts when there is work to be done. Doesn't matter that I about collapse doing it!!
I really am trying hard to leave this lung thing to God....he will help me through!
Love you much...huge hugs....connie d
Judy...you have know idea how bad her bathroom and room is...horrible! I make her keep all the doors shut at all times. Pam told my sister that she (sister) can't smell it. It is just the same as farmers. They around animals and all the manure. They don't smell it either. Just like her and her urine situation. GROSS!!!
Thanks for caring honey!!
Love you....hugs....connie d
Good morning Judy and all my OFF sistas!
Judy, congrats on the new car. Like I told you on FB, my daughter has a 2010 Malibu and loves it. It's a nice ride! I'm happy for you.
We are all sicky around here. Everyone is coughing and hacking and honking (blowing noses). Ugh.
Butch made a start at framing out the new bedroom door yesterday. Mostly we did demolition--which is kinda fun. I am constantly amazed at how smart my husband is and how much stuff he knows. He will tackle just about anything, you know? I wouldn't have a clue how to turn an arch into a doorway.
My job has been to pull up the old floor, since I'm the only one who can get down on her knees these days. I like it, but I think maybe I hurt my right wrist a bit. It was aching last night, but feels okay today. At least we don't have to do any more of that today.
Today I hope to get a couple more windows ready to hang new blinds. For each window, I have to take down the old blinds and curtains, then clean the window (I swear to you all--these windows have NEVER been cleaned since they were installed--yuck!), then paint the window casing, and then finally we can hang the new blinds. So it's a process. I still have 6 more windows to go. I need to paint some more baseboards while I'm at it. I think my shoulder has recovered enough for me to paint some today.
I am very excited about next weekend. Next Saturday is Texas Independence Day (I know, not everybody is excited about that!), but they are having a big celebration in Gruene, TX, and we're going. I have a date! One of our favorite Texas artists is playing that night and Gruene is filled with funky little antique shops and restaurants and wineries, etc. I love to go there! This will probably be our only chance to get out by ourselves before Butch's knee surgery, too, so that makes it doubly exciting for me.
If I can ever get you all to come down here, we'll have to go and spend a day in Gruene. You all will love it!
Well, I'd better go. Lots to do today. I think about each of you often throughout the day.
Love you all!
Gosh oh friday Vic you are SOOOOOOOOOOO busy!!!!!!! Wish I had your energy!!! LOL I know my day will come when we tackle the club house here!!! Looking forward to that day for sure!!! I settled on VERY pale blue all over with white trim and maybe navy blue doors not sure yet still working on that. Redwood was first pick but now leaning to the dark blue. White curtains for sure!! No wallpaper borders at all!!! YUCK!!!!!!! The tile hope they agree to be a pretty blue tint and the carpet a dark type of blue.
As for the colds...sleepy time tea with some whiskey and honey in it then go to bed at night time...vicks on feet and chest also will help. Worked great for Rick!!!
That festival sounds fun!!! Maybe some day....
HUGS
Oh, Judy, I just wish I had some real energy right now. I'm not making very much progress, that's for sure. I plan out my day and I'm lucky if I complete half of it. This cold is kicking my butt.
I love blue! Your color scheme sounds great to me. I have always had a "blue" house, but this one is a little different. I'm using a different color palette here. Lots of nature colors in this one.
So excited to be getting all new floors next week! It's going to be a real pain while they're doing it, but oh so worth it in the end.
I just had to help Butch take down the chandelier in the dining room and my shoulder is killing me. That sucker was heavy! Stupid shoulder. I need to get back to my windows. Today I am tackling the windows in the game room, which is soon to become my new office area. Got the curtains and the shades down already. Next step will be painting. Hope my shoulder will hold out for me today. I need my 25 year old body back! LOL!
Love ya!
