HAPPY THURSDAY!
Good morning Carla and all my OFF sistas!
Sorry I was MIA yesterday. We just had such an incredibly busy morning/early afternoon, and then I had the baby yesterday evening. I just never had a chance to post.
Well, the good news is that we are getting our new floor next week! The bad news is that it came in over budget. Oh well, it's only money, right? You can't take it with you. Might as well spend it now and be comfortable in our home.
My friend, the one who is in her 40's and having her FIRST baby, had an emergency C-section night before last. She made it to 32 weeks, so her baby is very tiny. Little Harper Marie weighed 3 lbs, 8 oz, and of course, is in NICU. But from all reports, mother and child are both doing well. Please pray for little Harper. She has a long way to go before she can go home with her very anxious parents.
Anyway, I have been crocheting baby gifts for little Harper, but I hadn't made any preemie things. But last night I made some preemie sized booties and a little cap. I'm going to send those right away. She will be allowed to wear those while in NICU. Then I'll finish up the other things I've been making and send those soon. I think I'll also make a take-me-home sized onesie for her. Smaller than a newborn (between 5-6 lbs), and difficult to find.
Today I will spend the day with a paint brush in my hand. Chris is off to watch the baby, so this will be a good time for me to paint.
Oh, and we went to the hospital yesterday and got all of Butch's pre-op testing done. Dr's appt next week to be cleared for knee surgery, and then we can finally schedule the actual surgery itself.

Good Morning Carla, Vickie, and all to follow.
My daughter, son-in-law, and all the Munchkins were here for a few hours right after Izzy got out of school. They helped bring stuff up from the basement, and helped me unpack things. Also, Trent brought up my TV table for my bedroom. Finally, I can watch TV in bed. The table needs a new paint job, but it'll do till better weather, when I can take it outside to paint it. I don't want the fumes in the house. So, now I have a slew of boxes to unpack. Colleen has me sorting things for a yard sale in the Spring. She thinks I'm a hoarder, and that I have too much junk. She's right. I couldn't have a yard sale back in PA, coz I didn't have a front yard at all.
Today, I go to watch the boys, while Colleen goes to Izzy's school to teach a reading group in her class. Colleen is a reading specialist for a different school district, taking a one year leave of absence. Then, I have errands to run. I get my full driving privileges back today, as it's been two weeks since my cast came off. I need to open a new bank account here, and get Utley his dog license. I will also head into Lansing to attend an AA meeting. There are some afternoon meetings I can get to there.

Carla...so glad you made it home safely. That was quite a little vacation you were on!! I know you had a blast!!
Vickie...it will be wonderful when you get the new flooring down. Painting is a pain and something I never do. I find someone else for that task!! Glad that Chris is in charge of Benny so you can get it done. I hope all goes well for Butch and that his surgery is behind him soon.
Tri**** sounds like you are settling in nicely there. You seem so much happier!! Congrats on being able to drive again...wooohoo...a big step!! I am so glad your family is there to help you with carrying boxes and such. I can hear the happiness in your posts!!
I have an appointment today at 2:00. Then I need to go to the grocery store as they have some really god deals this week. I try to keep stocked up!! It makes cooking so much easier!!
I am a bit worried about what is going on in my lung. I do see my pulmonary doctor Friday afternoon. I pray it is only more of the scaring and thickening that I already have.

Morning all!
I had my laptop, and 2 home computers all die on me at the same time. Got my laptop working. Not much going on, need to go to Target and stock up on a few things.

Connie, I just went overnight, With Carl and Bentley in tow!!!!! I had my chouffeur!!!!! Carl drove!!!!! I am sick of driving!!!!!
Not really!!!!! We are going again in April. Going to Michigan and Illinois to see family and friends. I need my hair done so going up to Chicago to see the kid so she can do my hair!!!!!

Supposed to get a wintry mix today, but it hasn't started yet. Or maybe it has started to rain ... can't tell. Anyway, it's gloomy right now after a sunny start to the day.
I had two restful days off and got some stuff done around the house ... unpacked a few more boxes, vacuumed out the spare bathroom where the litter box is along with part of the bedroom and the hallway, hung a few pictures. So my apartment is looking like home. The closet in the spare bedroom is awfully small so I don't know how much I'll be able to get in there. We'll see.
Yup, it is raining or something (sleeting? not sure). Some kind of precipitation. Hope it doesn't freeze or at least it's over by the time I have to work.
Not much else happening here. I have to work tonight. Have a good day.
