Sunday Morning in Michigan

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm barely awake, and sick as a dog.  I've got a sinus infection with my asthma acting up.  Yuck!  A doctor in PA has me on Augmentin, and Robitussin DM.  I'm heading to the church service here, but not Sunday School.  No energy.  I don't want to spend the morning coughing for two hours in public.

Later, I'll probably do some laundry with my daughter.  Her washer is broken, so we'll go to the laundromat here in town.  It shouldn't take long.  I only have about one load.  I'm sure Colleen has more with three kids.

Must scoot.  Prayers for all in need.

Love and hugs,

Trish

Good morning Trish and my OFF sistas!

I am sorry you are sick today, Trish!  Hope it passes quickly.

Had a pretty good day yesterday.  I went for my walk.  Managed to do 35 mins yesterday (only 25 the day before) and huffed and puffed my way up the big hill.  Yowzers.  I'll know I'm back in shape when I can walk up that hill without feeling like I'm gonna pass out!

Butch was feeling a bit more energetic yesterday, so we hung 3 of our new plantation blinds.  Oh, I like them very much!  Such a difference from those plastic mini-blinds from Wal Mart.  Just about got the guest bedroom put back together.  Butch has to finish the trim on the new wall, and then I can paint that and the inside of the new closet and I'll be finished in there.

Went out to eat with Chris and Benny last night to a place called The Antler.  Benny loves it.  There are all kinds of stuffed animals and fish on the walls: deer, elk, bobcats, fox, you name it.  (Hey, this is Texas where people hunt.  With GUNS.)  Anyway, I had the fried shrimp and could only eat 3 of them, they were so big.  Delish.

Today we are cleaning up this house in anticipation of the flooring people coming tomorrow.  They have to measure every room and closet, so you can imagine how anxious I am that things are neat and put away and cleared for them to measure.  I expect to encounter some resistance from the rest of my family, but today, Mimi is getting things done HER way for a change.

I ordered this thing called a Flower Tower and it came yesterday.  I put it together and I hope it works.  It will hold 36 plants.  The picture shows it with impatiens, which would be gorgeous on my front deck, but I can't help but think of a strawberry tower, too.  I might order another one.  Benny would LOVE that.

Butch has the itch to plant, and that's a challenge here with the deer.  We are talking about fencing off a section in the back/side yard and building some planter boxes for tomatoes and peppers and things.  We'll have to see how creative we can get.  You can't plant anything in the ground here--it's full of rocks.  And the deer eat it all to the roots anyway.  The front deck is protected, but it's completely covered by a huge live oak tree (that grows up out of the center of the deck) and there's not enough sunlight to really grow anything except shade flowers.

Well, I'm just rambling this morning.  Need to get dressed and get my walk done first thing.  I want to lose 10 lbs.  I weighed 185 yesterday morning.  I want to get back to 175 again.  Would love to get to 165, but we'll see how it goes.

Love you all!  Have a happy and blessed Sunday!

Morning OFF family!! Well so far...knock on wood!!! Its been quiet with no more threats!!!!  But then its still early...had a call from the people renting the club house today wanting to know if they can keep one car near the club house to transport the old people back and forth to parking lot across the street. OK but not in front of the garage. OK. We have some slippery areas from the snow and melting areas. Guys did salt but with temps up and down its hard to keep it gone. Another tenant came to the door telling us another tenant has his trash all over the yard from the wild cats...great!!! So much to relax today huh?

Making some chicken with the durkee onions today. Sounded good when I came across the recipe other day. Bought what I needed to make them yesterday. OMG we spent so much yesterday!! $175.00!!! But the freezer has food in it now!!!

Well best get dressed and get Bandit out for his potty walk and see how much trash is out in that yard!!!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

OH..I saw Annette is home but on oxygen!!!

HUGSSSSSSSSS

Phone is ringing off the hook with stupid calls today...all can wait til tomorrow for call backs...lol.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Trish, sorry you are sick again. Seems to be going around. My boss has a cold or something ... about 10 p.m. last night he went into his office, called in a coworker and said he had to go home, he felt so bad. Then he asked someone for a ride (he's still without a vehicle); but he was shaking so badly, he needed someone to help him out. I wonder if he has the flu or something else bad. He hasn't been taking care of himself since his break-up.

Otherwise, work was quiet ... I had eight and a half pages to do and it went smoothly.

Talked with my brother on Skype this morning ... saw my mom, too ... she doesn't look good at all, much worse than when I saw her at Christmas. I know she's 88, but she looks so much older. Wish I could afford to go home. Just have a feeling I should do so and soon ...

Well, have a good day.

Eileen I hate when those "feelings" hit us!!! Just hope you can get home again before its too late!!! Acouple weeks ago my mom was putting her "new" car in the garage and her foot slipped off the brake and yup right through the back of the garage!!! Sighs... about $1,000 damage or so to the car...she is afraid to drive but I am sure she will again!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!
