Happy Friday
Good morning Carla and all my OFF sistas!
Yesterday morning I woke up to a computer gone straight to hell. It was like my entire hard drive had been wiped clean! No files, no pictures, no QUICKEN (my checkbook)! Argghh. I didn't know what to do. My only thought was I must have a terrible virus.
So, I shut it all down and then I was so busy yesterday, I never had a chance to get back to it. Got up this morning, turned my computer on, and presto! like magic, everything was back in place. WTH happened???
So I'm taking a moment to get emails, FB and OFF before I start a major scan with the AVG software.
Sounds like everyone had a good Valentine's Day. My sweet hubby brought me a pair of Swarvoski crystal earring and a pendant from Dubai. Very pretty!
Hope everyone has plans for a nice weekend. It's supposed to freeze here tomorrow night. Haven't had a freeze in over a month, so I guess this is winter's last hurrah for us.
Love you all!
Morning all!
Hope everyone had a great V-day! I did, quite and peaceful!
I did try a new recipe, it's not bad but I'll tweak it a little next time. I didn't have white wine so I used Vermouth it had a very strong flavor so I'll make sure I have white wine next time and I'll use more Ricotta. But it was pretty good, has great iron and protein.

Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,

Good Morning Carla, and all of my OFF Friends,
I scooted out to the local IGA for a fish sale. They have salmon fillets for $2.99. Each fillet is cut about four ounces. Already frozen and vacuum sealed. They also had smaller cod fillets for $1.25 a piece. I bought enough fish for my daughter and I to have a few fish feasts. Her husband and kids don't eat fish. While I don't follow Lenten dietary rules, I do love seafood. They also had beautiful shellfish, but I can't eat that while on Coumadin. :(
In about an hour, I'm heading over to the local hair style place to hook-up with Colleen and the kids to help her keep her tight schedule.
I'm also helping her out in the kitchen with some organic boneless chicken breasts she bought in bulk. I got ten pounds of it. I'm going to marinate some of it for quesadillas. I saw how easy they are to make, and want to try making some.
Colleen is going to IKEA tomorrow, so I'll be watching the Munchkins for a while in the morning. I'm going to have her get me a small high chair for when Frankie is here, so we can feed him. They're only $19.99, without a tray. He's big enough to not need the tray now.
I hope everyone has a great day, and weekend.
Hugs and prayers,
Trish

When I was put on the Coumdin, I was told to avoid all foods high in vitamin K. Shellfish and dark green vegetables were on the list of foods to avoid I was given in the hospital. They are high in vitamin K. Vitamin K interferes with the Coumadin. When my PT/INR was extremely high, I had to be given a vitamin K shot to bring it down.

Hi Carla and my OFF family:
I had problems sleeping last night ... kept waking up sweating. Finally got an icepack and slept with that. Guess it was OK after that.
Temps have dropped from 56 yesterday to 39 today. This is a wacky winter. Up and down, up and down. Don't know what to wear half the time.
Not much going on ... back to work tonight. I feel rested at least. I needed my two days off desperately.
Anyway, have a good day everyone. Vickie, glad Butch is back.
