Oh Happy Day (Wednesday)!

Good morning my sistas!

I am up early today.  Butch called from Atlanta around 6 a.m.  He should be arriving in San Antonio around 10 a.m.  Just a few more hours to go.

I spent a very enjoyable evening making baby things last night.  Made another little sweet cap and another pair of baby booties.  My friend is going to think I'm crazy sending her so much stuff, but I'm trying to use up the rest of this pink and white yarn.  I won't have any other use for it and I don't have room to start another yarn stash here.  (When I think of all the baby yarn I packed away when we moved . . . !)  Besides baby things are so much fun to make.  I made a darling little diaper cover and I put little ruffles across the seat in the back.  I love to make little girly-girl things. 

Woke up with what I think is the start of pink eye in my other eye this morning!  Argh!  I already put drops in.  Maybe I can head it off before it gets ahold of me again.  All I know is my right eye feels hot and sticky, and that's how it started in my left eye.

Today is the Valentine's party at pre-school.  Chris made little goodie bags for all the kids.  She made some to-die-for strawberry white choc chip cookies yesterday.  I only had a taste, and boy were they good!  I made her take the leftovers to work with her last night.  NO way would I have been able to resist those if she had left them here.

I'd better hop in the shower and get going.  Need to leave here in a couple of hours.  Ask me if I'm excited to have my husband coming home!

Morning Vickie!  Glad to hear Butch will be home soon.  I used to love making baby stuff to.  I don't think I could remember how now.

Trish made me miss having my little guy around.  So I called the son-in-law and he happened to have to work today so I got him last night. His Mom works third shift.   We are watching Jake the Pirate and playing with Legos.  I have to run him into pre school at noon.

Vickie I can just hear your excitement at Butch getting home.  So happy for you both. Hope it's not pink eye again. Take care of you!

Nothing going on here today. Going to be lazy. Tonight I'm going out to dinner with a friend. Love just sitting and talking to her.  She is such a boost to my mood.

Vickie, glad to hear Butch will be home soon! Hope everybody has a good time with there grand babies!

Question out there for you quilters...my sister is going to help me, she has made quilts before and when I go a visit her in Oregon in April we are going to give it a try. So my question is how is flannel to work with and does it make a good quilt I found the pattern and material I want. It's a quilt kit...I figured it would be easier my first time to get pre cut and everything included. Any advice would be so helpful.

Good Morning Vickie and Friends,

I had a lovely evening at my new church, at our Ladies Bible Study.  My daughter couldn't drive me, because Isabel had dance class.  She was going to have her husband drive me, but it's only a few blocks, I drove myself.  No traffic lights, and I was there.  

Today, I have to call my hematologist in PA today, to get an order for my PT/INR, to check my Coumadin levels.  I can't get an order for labwork from the new doc here, until I actually see him.

I also need to get stuff put away, the junk I brought with me from PA last week.  Can't bring stuff up from the basement till that happens.

I will be watching my granddaughter, Isabel for a little while this afternoon, as Colleen has to take Lincoln to the doctor's.  She lost her first tooth last night.  The tooth fairy visited her and left her money and a note.

Must get stuff done.

Good afternoon Vickie and everyone........

Vickie...I am so happy that Butch is finally coming home...I know you are even happier!! Enjoy your day!

Babies....grandbabies....tooth fairies....we have it all going on here today!!

I had a wonderful night last night. My sister went in for a sleep study. I had the place all to myself all night!!!! I slept off and on and got up and did a little of this and that....roamed the house....it was awesome. I was up a lot but feel more refreshed then I have in a long time!! I even made soup about 4:30 AM!! I had some Kale I wanted to use up. It was so wonderful to be in the kitchen in the middle of the night....you have no idea!! She came home early this AM and is still sleeping on the couch. At 1:00 I am going into the kitchen and have some lunch. Sorry if she gets woke up!!

My granddaughter Kyleigh is coming this evening from Minneapolis. She broke off with her boyfriend this last weekend and doesn't want to spend Valentines Day alone.....we will have fun!! Kyleigh is staying for a few days. We love to be together!!

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

So glad Butch will be home today, maybe for good. I know you miss him. 

I wound up working last night ... seems my boss is taking personal days this week. Fortunately, the other coworker who was suspended came back so we're not as shorthanded. Unfortunately, another coworker was still out sick (he fell). We are a motley crew. I am in so much pain. Body hurts so much. Every part. I'm going to the chiro today and then back home. 

We had snow overnight, not a whole lot. Maybe that's why I hurt. Or it could be the seven days in a row I just worked. 

Found out on Facebook that one of my high school friends died overnight ... on her birthday, no less. Wow. I'm in shock. As far as I know she wasn't sick or anything. 

Can't remember anything of what was posted. My mind is a blank. Hope everyone has a good day. I plan to spend two days unpacking and staying inside (other than the trip to the chiro today).
