Tuesday in Michigan
Good Morning Everyone,
Right now, I am eating some cereal, watching my three year old grandson, Lincoln, and also watching Dora the Explorer. Heaven.
I had to call my therapist I used to see last night, because I've been a jumble of emotions since I got here, and I find myself on the verge of tears a lot. It's all good stuff, just so much happening at once, finally.
This afternoon, my daughter is taking me grocery shopping a half hour away. I can't drive that far yet. I hope to get a few necessities.
Must get going.
Love and hugs,
Trish

Morning Trish! Glad to hear you are having such a great family time. I love having my 4 year old grandson with me. When both parents worked full time he stayed with me every other week. Now with his dad part time with the post office and him going to preschool, I don't get him near enough. I guess they are out growing the need for me.
Where do you have to go grocery shopping at. Perry should be getting big enough to get a big store?
Thing are going slow here. I did drive to the therapist yesterday. That is the first time I have driven since surgery. Thought the truck was going to get blown off the road.
Hope you and all to follow have a great day.
Hey there,
Perry only has an IGA. Colleen and I prefer Kroger, either in Owosso, or Okemos.
Hugs,
Trish

Hi Trish and my OFF family:
It's my weekend and I got up way too early today. Still in some pain but not as bad as yesterday. I promised to take my boss to Walmart today since he is without a car after his girlfriend left him and took the truck and everything else in his apartment (other than his personal belongings). He was taking cabs and buses to shop, but I told him I would take him shopping ... no sense in spending that money on transportation when I have a car. Besides, he helped me out when I needed it. That's what friends do.
So I have to get dressed soon and get moving. Didn't sleep very well but don't have too much planned for the day. Work wasn't horrible last night, other than one computer crash (right on deadline, of course). One of my coworkers called in sick ... older guy who seems to fall a lot, fell again and hit his head. He had to get a CT scan, but seems to be OK. I hope so ... I don't want to be called in today. I need the two days off.
Well, I guess I should get in the shower. Have a good day.
Good morning, sistas!
I am up and waiting on delivery of my new desk today. Hopefully Butch and I will be able to put it together on Thursday and I can finally get rid of the last of the boxes on the floor in my bedroom.
Went to the store yesterday and on impluse bought a loaf of cranberry walnut bread from the bakery. OMG. Big mistake! I cannot stay out of it. When will I ever learn? I cannot handle simple carbs. I tell myself, "at least it's not a cookie" but that's not really true. My body processes it all the same way.
I am going to start walking daily after Butch gets home and I can have an hour to myself every morning. I simply have to get this extra 10 pounds off.
Happy to hear that you're enjoying Lincoln and cereal in front of the morning cartoons, Trish! Life's simple pleasures are often the very best, aren't they? Piney, glad you are resuming normal activities, but do be careful in all that snow and ice! Eileen, I hope work leaves you alone for the next 2 days. Also hope your computer problems clear up soon! I can only imagine your frustration with the page freezes!
Love you all!
Vicki,
Throw it out. My husband is a diabetic and he has absolutely no self control when it comes to sweets. I baked some banana muffins for my daughter and her husband and the kids and had them on the counter cooling, he ate two within a thirty minute time period. I bagged those suckers up and put them in the trunk of my car and locked the trunk. If I bring sweets home, he will eat them. So, when I buy for the kids, and when they leave, I send it all home with them or I throw it away.
Good Morning Trish and OFF Family,
Grandkids seem to make everything right in our worlds! So glad you can enjoy yours anytime now.
Eileen, hope your weekend is peaceful.
Vickie when does Butch get home? Has his surgery been scheduled? Mine will be determined in April as to when to have it.
Celebrating my grandson's, Harley, birthday today He is 13. His brother is the only one of my grandkids that is not a teenager. He's 7. Guess I'll have to start wishing for great-grandchildren. LOL My oldest granddaughter just go married and needs to finish school before that happens!!
Need more coffee. Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!
Hugs and prayers, Sandra
Sandra,
Butch gets home tomorrow. Having his pre-op testing done next week at the hospital in NB. Then we can schedule his surgery. Probably the 1st 10 days of March. His ortho is Dr. Peter Holmes. He has an office in Garden Ridge, so that's not too far a drive for us. Don't know where the hospital in SA is yet.
I'm going to call your surgeon this morning and set up an appointment for my annual checkup. It's time for that, and I'm not going to drive all the way to Houston for a 20 minute appointment with Dr. Garth.
Are you still in NB babysitting?
