Yes, Butch worked in Qatar for a couple of years and loved it there.  Way better than Saudi!

Good to see you back and sounds like you had quite an adventure. My only issue with the Mideast would be how a woman would survive in the male-dominanted culture there. The heat, well, you manage with a/c, just as you would in the American South. And then there is the terrorism fear. But I guess that's everywhere now. You will have to take that into account and do what's best for you.
