Hi Laureen and my OFF family:

Good to see you again, Laureen. I know you're around. Sometimes we get too busy.

I got called into work last night ... my boss had some personal business. It was a hectic night and despite the work that was done on my computer, I still had issues, of course right on deadline. A page wouldn't open and froze my system. I had to call one of our "super users" ... the deputy desk manager ... at home at 10:30 p.m. Several people tried to unstick it and open the page and it wouldn't open. Mike, of course, was able to do it  from home. Don't know what the problem was ... our new system is a pain.

So back to work tonight. I'm expecting my income tax refund tomorrow and need to use part of it to pay for my Cymbalta ... $539 ... yuck! I can't wait to meet my deductible so everything is free again. But I'm not there yet. I was going to use my refund to pay some bills but that's not going to happen ... or at least not as many bills.

Well, I need to get in the shower and get ready for work. Have a good day. 

 

Eileen...that computer system sounds like a real pain.  Sorry it is causing you and everyone so much stress.

Sorry you have to use your refund for meds. I am sure you can get some bills paid too. That will keep you above water. Spend it wisely!! Maybe it is time to call that financial planner/payee when you have some extra money. Just my opinion...not trying to be bossy.

Connie, I want to find someone to pay for me, but unfortunately, they don't really do that. I still will try to pay a couple of bills. I at least got the rest of my security deposit paid. It's a step. 

Eileen that is great....good for you!!

I have a friend that had problems with her finances. She was told to always look at what she wants to buy and say "is this a WANT or a NEED". We would joke about it....everytime we went some where we were always saying that no matter what it was. Anyway in the long run she really did learn how to spend and is still grateful today for that advice. We still laugh about it now too!!!

Good Afternoon Laureen and OFF.
Finally got my cast off, and we are finally on the PA Turnpike heading for Pittsburgh. Might not get to Michigan till Saturday coz of their expected snow tonight into tomorrow.

life is OK, not happy with my scale number, always a battle

my ankle is doing well and that is good news.  my older son turned 37 on tuesday, making me

feel very old.  oh well.
