Good Morning,
Well yesterday was so much fun. The limo ride through Manhattan was awesome. Then the best part was when we got to my son's apartment. He came out of his bedroom holding a nine month old boy. I didn't see the baby's face and asked who's baby he was. He said, "Don't you recognize your grandson?" I thought he was joking till I saw the baby's face, turned around and there was my daughter. She had flown in from Michigan for the party, and surprised everyone. It was a thrill. This was the first time my sister and sis-in-law had seen Framklin. On the way home, the limo driver gave us a tour of the theater district and Rockefeller Center. She even stopped so the young lady who came with us could take pictures of the skaters. She was thrilled because she ice skates in Special Olympics.

Mom behaved herself. We were all thrilled that our driver had worked with my younger brother before he died. Mom even has a picture of the two of them. Plus, she had a great sense of humor.

Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi Trish, Carla and my OFF family:

Glad you had a good time at your party and had a big surprise. Something to look forward to in a few days, huh?

Carla, I've had a wireless printer for a while and love it. It works so nice with a laptop.

Wasn't that a great game, even with the blackout? I was watching it online at work, but there was like a five-minute delay ... I was reading the tweets on the side and there would be comments about a touchdown, but I didn't see it until five minutes later.

We had a nice little party at work. The newsroom folk had some munchies, my boss bought pizzas and I made a cake. Not much cake was eaten, however. Oh well, I'll eat it slowly over the next week.

I was putting stuff in the garbage can last night and cut my thumb on the plastic top of the frosting can, right near where it connects to the rest of the hand. It was really bleeding last night and I thought it stopped when I went to sleep, but I got up this morning and it had been bleeding while I slept. Hurts like hell and hard to keep a band-aid on it.

Well, not much else happening. I'm watching my recording of the Super Bowl. I work tonight and unfortunately, it was noisy outside this morning ... some guys cutting down a tree right outside my bedroom window at 8 a.m. Couldn't they wait a little?

Have a good day.

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Trish....I am thrilled you had such an awesome day yesterday!!  What a great surprise having your daughter and grandson there!!  I am sure that just made your day even brighter. You needed that!! Your limo driver sounded like she made things really special for all of you. I am so happy for you!!!

Carla....I am thinking of going to a laptop and getting rid of my regular computer. I think it would work out so much better for me. What kind of wireless printer and computer do you have?

Eileen....sorry you cut yourself. That is such a hard place to heal and it always gets so sore. What kind of wireless printer do you have?

I feel almost normal today. I still cough a bit but nothing bad at all. I have some energy this morning too. I think I am finally whooping this thing!!! YAY me!! I need to make a quick trip to Walmart to pick up a couple things. I won't be there long. I will see how I feel after that. Wish me luck!!!

Wishing you all a great day!!!  Prayers for many in need.....a few special ones as well.

Love and many hugs to all....connie d

Connie, I have an HP printer ... it's the third one I've gotten. The first one wouldn't communicate with Windows 7; the second one was great but when I moved I lost one of the cords. This one is much light than the first two (it is a printer/copier/scanner). It communicates wonderfully with the router and I seldom have to re-input the secure password.

Here's my good news for the day, just found it out: My new grandnephew was born this morning: William Christopher Briesch, 9 lbs, 3 oz., born in Dallas, TX, to my nephew Christopher and my niece-in-law Jill. Named for his grandfather (my brother Gary ... middle name William) and dad. He joins his big brother Alexander. So much for my nephew never wanting kids. Guess the woman's wishes win out.

Connie

I have a Dell 15 inch with windows 7 and we just got a Samsung with windows 8. It is a big learning curve. I got a canon wireless printer. I dont like Hp. The cartridges are to much to replace thru Amazon. Plus I have a Canan Camera so I went with canon. I wentbwith the 200.00. One but I paid 119.00 at Costco.

Good morning Trish, Carla, Eileen and Connie!  And all my OFF sistas!

I had a good weekend, too.  My trip to Waco was quick, but I enjoyed it.  Always love to go spend time with my Carrie!  We ate out and shopped and just had fun together.

Only problem is I have developed Benny's pink eye!  Or some sort of eye infection.  Bleh!  I've been using Benny's drops, but they're not making much difference.  I'll give it another day, but then I guess I'll have to go find me a new eye doctor in New Braunfels.  Bother.

Just one more wee****il my husband comes home!  Hurray!  Maybe he'll be home for good this time.  I sure hope so.

This week I am painting the guest room.  And I'm making some little jungle animal plaques to hang in Benny's new big boy room.  And I'm crocheting, too, so this week is filled with fun projects.  Always helps to pass the time.

Love you all!

Vickie...so sorry you are getting an eye infection. Yes, please go see a doctor. You don't want to mess with infections in the eye!

Happy to hear Butch will be home soon!!! Glad you had so much fun with Carrie!!

Love and hugs....connie d
