TGIF

Good Morning,
My sister, Mom and I went and got haircuts last night. Finally was able to show Mom what her hair could look like if she got it blow dried when it was styled. I'll post a pic of me later, after I get dressed.

Today, Mom and I are heading to the craft store for more yarn for the bedspread I'm making Lincoln. I have tons in Michigan. Unfortunately I'm out of white and plan to crochet during my twelve hours as a passenger next week. I also need to get to the bank.

I slept really good last night for the first time in a long time. I didn't have a fever last night nor this morning. That is good. I had to go back to the doctor if I still had a fever today. More bed rest today. Working on getting stronger!!

Has anyone heard from Carolyn lately...Jeannie....Nan??? Haven't seen Laureen here in awhile nor Margo or Monica ....only see them on Facebook. Karen C. posted here awhile back but nothing since. Miss you everyone!!!

We baught a new laptop last night! Ill have to learn windows eight. 

It is cold here! I got my sweatshirt on! We had to have our orange tree cut down. It was dying the last five years we are here. 

I am in a mission to go and buy a camping stove. My bipolar cousin has mine and wont give it back. Says she cant find it. says I can afford to buy another one! I saud you borrowed it! You need to return it or buy me another one! same old story! i give up with her! Lesson learned dont lend things out!

Trish, we are all counting down the days with you!  You are now on the "downhill slide"!  (That's what Butch and I call it when there are less days left in hi****ch rather than more days.)

Connie, I'm so glad you woke up a little bit better today.  Let's all pray that it continues for you.

Geez, Carla, you guys buy more stuff!  New techie gadgets every time we turn around.  I hope you like your new laptop.

I am frustrated this morning.  I needed to do all my banking and bill paying this morning while Chris is here, but the dumb bank web site is having maintenance issues.  Grrrrr. 

My new blinds arrived yesterday!  I was very excited to get them.  Such a fast turn around time!  I was amazed.  Only problem is I hurt my back hauling them into the house from the porch.  Ouch.  I'm all bent over this morning.  I just hate this getting old thing.  I never used to have any problems moving things. 

Trish, I got the cutest crochet patterns for Easter bunnies!  They're adorable.  There's a boy bunny and a girl bunny and they each have little crocheted outfits!  I can hardly wait to make the boy bunny for Benny for Easter.  I think I'll make the girl bunny for my friend who is expecting in March.  If you want the link, let me know.  I ordered the pattern from Annie's Attic.

I bought paint samples at Home Depot yesterday and tried painting swatches around on all the walls.  I really like the cream color I bought.  I will use it in the kitchen/dining/halls and living room.  I also bought a pale lavender for the guest bedroom, but it's a little too pale.  It looks rather chalky.  I think I'll go back and get a sample of the middle color on the color card.  See how I like that.  Of course, I don't know when I'll get all this painting done if I keep hurting my shoulder and my back. Damn body.  I need it to hold up while I do projects, not break down!

I want to paint the kitchen cabinets a color with a special fini****hink.  Any ideas or suggestions?  I like the cottage look, and this is a lakehouse.  An informal finish, like antiqueing or something, would be nice.  I'm also thinking about trying that new paint you can use to paint over your old formica countertops. 

Well, enough of that.  I won't be doing anything until I heal my back.

Hope everyone has plans for a lovely weekend.  I'm looking forward to my trip to visit Carrie tomorrow.  I need to get away from Chris and Benny for a bit.  It will do us all good.

Im not excited about learning Windows 8!!!!! I am hoping it is like the Ipad!!!!! I wanted to get an apple but Carl wouldnt spend the bucks!!!!

We had to replace the desktop I had in my office. It is dying a slow death.....We have had that one since we moved or before that. so we decided to get another laptop.

I need to paint our house inside too. Im still trying to decide what colors I want in here. We are staying in our rental for a while.

Afternoon....BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR 13* feels like -3* right now warmer than when we got up but still so cold!!!! Poor Bandits feet freeze when we go out there!!!

Doing rents today and some tenants are calling me to come pick up their checks like I told them to do so they don't have to come out in this nasty weather!!!

Getting our kitchen floor fixed monday!! WOOOHOOO!! No more tripping on the warpped boards!!! YES!!!!!!!! Make me happy for sure!!!!

Lunch is about over with so just wanted to stop in and say HI!!!

Glad you had a good day yesterday, Trish. Hope you can make it through the next few days.

We had snow last night but it's nearly melted now even though the temps have dropped dramatically to 19 degrees. Why I was so hot last night, I don't know, but I kept waking up sweating. Then I woke up this morning with a migraine. Took an Imitrex finally at 11 a.m. when I got out of bed and that kicked its butt. Good deal! 

Did my taxes yesterday ... had a bit of a problem at first because the program had me getting a big federal refund but paying back a lot to the state, but then I realized I didn't input my state withholding. So I had to go back to the beginning and find where to put that. Interesting ... Indiana lets you deduct rent. Nice! I still had to pay $98 to the state, mostly because of the 401k that I got from my former employer. I had paid federal taxes on it but they didn't take state taxes out. But at least there's not as much as I first thought I was going to have to pay.

Well, back to work today. Have a good day. Connie, I'm glad you're feeling better. ... Now, don't overdo it.
