Thursday Happenings
One week from today my imprisonment ends. Mom started insulting me again last night while we were watching Judge Judy. She got on my case about my bankruptcies, one when I was married the second after the divorce. I told her to get off my case, because if I could drive I'd get in my car and leave. Miraculously she shut up. She just loves to rub salt in a wound.
Nothing exciting today. Crocheting, reading, and TV.
Love,
Trish

Trish
Just ignore your mom! It seems she just wants to get your goat like my sister! So mostly I dont tell her my business.
I got home late from Denver late last night. The flight from Philadelphia was late taking off cause of weather.
Carl was waiting un the cell phone lot for me.
I am going for a massage this morning. my neck is killing after navagating three airports.!.!
Morning all,
Hang in there Tri****'s almost over!
2 years ago Steve and I had to claim bankruptcy and lost our home. The only thing that has saved us was not blaming each other or bringing it up in a fight. Your mom is wrong and you did the right thing by telling her to get off your case.
Doing some cleaning today, have good friends coming for Superbowl and staying the night.
Have a Blessed day,
Debbie
Good Morning OFF Family,
Trish bankruptcy happens to lots of people for lots of reasons. Sorry your mother can't leave it in the past where it belongs. Just remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Off to the lake this weekend to play dominoes (Moon) and visit with my nieces &nephews (my husband's side of the family & they are my age). I'm truly blessed to have such wonder family. The weather will be perfect -- highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s.
Need to get to the grocery store to pick-up a few things to take to the lake, wash and get packed today.
Hugs and prayers, Sandra
Afternoon OFF...guess I shouldn't mention the weather as it might be complaining on something I can't do anything about...LOL was in the 60's here yesterday and today its 20 and winds making it lower and the snow falling and sometimes whiteouts!!!!!! so the rain we had yesterday forze and that makes it slippery...salting not helping much but the guys did it anyhow.
Today is payday wooohooo!! Need to drive to the bank but waiting til this snow stops some and the roads are not slippery. Not looking for any accumulation so that is good. Just the temps falling lower is all. BRRRRRRR
Bandit has the poops again...we think its from him getting into the bird food from the parakeets tossing it on the floor. So thinking of how to make something to stop that mess from happening.
Well time to bundle up and try walking out there with Bandit and then head back to work.
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSS
Good morning Trish and everyone....
Trish....your mom will regret this one day. It is so sad that she is wasting her last week with you being so angry. I agree your personal business is your own. She is wrong bringing it up and throwing it in your face. I am still praying for you honey. Hang in there .....soon you will be on your way HOME!!
Carla...so glad you finally made it home. The massage sounds wonderful!!
Judy...sounds like the weather is really awful where you are. Keep warm and be careful walking outside. Hope things have settled down some with your tenants!!
Sandra....have a great time with your in-laws. That sounds like a really great bunch of people.
Debbie.....I agree bankruptcy is nothing to be ashamed of. These days it happens to be the only way out.
If I forgot some one I am sorry....CRS again!!
I have a call into my doctor. I had a slight fever of 99.2 last night and my cough is coming back and croupy again. No fever this morning. This is really getting old!!
Wishing you all a beautiful day!! Prayers for those in need. Special prayers for Margo, Nancy and Nan and a few others as well.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
Boy, your mom is a piece of work. Sometimes you have to tell people to shut up. My mom likes to monitor my eating habits. When I was obese, she would always comment on my weight and what I was eating. Finally I said, "Do you love me less because of what I weigh?" She said no. I said then she shouldn't keep making comments that are hurtful. When I lost the weight, she said she missed my round face. Can't please the woman.
It also got colder here last night ... it's 35 now. My feet are cold. I'm not doing a whole lot today. I stripped the bed and am washing the sheets and comforter. Later, it's back to unpacking.
I watched an interesting series last night on Amazon Prime called "London Hospital" ... kind of like "ER" set in London in the 1900s. Very interesting ... the first episode centered on a guy who was a pioneer of X-ray machines (died of radiation poisoning). The nurses there couldn't marry until the 1940s. All the episodes are based on actual cases and newspaper reports. It was fascinating.
Connie, hope you continue to get better. Judy, stay warm and don't slide away. Carla, glad you made it home safely ... lots of storms going on.
Oh, one other thing ... my mom's sewer backed up yesterday. Cost $525 to fix. She's stressing out about money. Lots of things going wrong in that house ... it's 90 years old ... Mom is 88 so she's almost as old as the house. And lots going wrong with Mom, too.
Well, have a good day.
