got my revision date

I went to the surgeon yesterday and we discussed a plan for  a revision. Nothing could be done to repair the fistula without going in and physically fixing it. So I will be having a revision on March 19th. I feel my surgeon is a very qualified surgeon. he has been doing bariatric surgery for almost 30 years so has done tons of surgeries. Mine will have to be open since I also have 3 hernias that need repair. the surgery that is going to be done will depend on how much scar tissue there is from the previous surgery. He used to do lots of the RNY but now recommends the DS over the RNY and has done revisions  converting from the RNY to the DS.

I am looking forward to the day that this is all behind me!

Several people in my support group had revisions and have done very well. Getting those hernias repaired will make you feel better too.
