Hello OFF family!

Oh Carla, I'm so sorry for your lost. I hope every one will go and get a Monoxide detector for there home. We have one upstairs and one downstairs,

Not much going on getting ready to put some peach meringues in the oven. Making Chicken Parmesan for dinner.

Vickie, the kale recipe you posted sounds great, I'm going to give it a try this week.

Connie, I hope your feeling better!

Thoughts and prayers for all,

Debbie

Good Morning Carla and OFF Family,
So sorry about your friend's death. I was so grateful that my last landlord made sure the local fire department installed a carbon monoxide detector in my last apartment. I'm making sure I have one when I get to Michigan. Carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless. That's why it's so dangerous.

I managed to do some laundry this morning. Now, I need to get my stuff organized in the room I'm staying in.

My daughter and son came up with a neat idea. Because I have a nice keyboard my son gave me, they asked me to teach Isabel basic piano. When she gets to where I can't teach her anymore, I'll pay for a real piano teacher to work with her. Colleen wants this because Isabel's school doesn't have music and art classes. Now I can't wait to get to Michigan.

Must get moving. Have to see if my regular Bible is in my belongings. I'm attending Bible study at church tomorrow. I've been using a devotional Bible for Grandmothers since I got here.

Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Carla and everyone....

Carla.....I am so sorry about your friend. That is so tragic. Prayers and good thoughts going out for the families and friends.

Trish...that is a great idea to teach Isabel piano. I know you will both enjoy it.

Debbie.....I am feeling a bit stronger today. I keep praying that I am on the mend and will not relapse.

One day at a time still. Like I said I do feel a bit better. Still so darn weak though. I am staying in and keeping warm. Almost out of my antibiotics and hope I won't need more.

Wishing you all a great day!!  Prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs to all...connie d

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

Sorry to hear about your friend. That's really tough.

We had a major upheaval last night at work. One of my coworkers was suspended for insubordination ... he gets on everyone's nerves ... he's threatening and yells at people (he yelled at me once, I yelled back and he said, "You  yelled at me!" I told him, "Well, you yelled at me." That was the end of it. He hasn't threatened me since.) Anyway, he went one too many times with the boss and that was it. I knew it was coming, just not this soon. Don't know if he's going to be allowed back. He needs therapy and/or meds.

So after work, the boss, another coworker and I went out to a bar for beer ... cheap, light beer that has no affect on me at all. It's like drinking beer flavored water. This place has been talked about at work, too ... we sat and talked for a long time before I finally had to go. The two guys were also doing shots of bourbon ... not my thing at all. I was probably the least drunk of the three. Plus, I had a burger (most bars in Evansville serve food). Headed home and got lost (not sure of myself around there). But eventually found my way home at about 1:30 a.m. I thought about going to a movie today but didn't get up til 11 a.m. and then lounged in bed till noon. Too cold and my knees are stiff and hurt, so I think I'll stay inside where it's warm.

So I have three days off and no big plans today at least ... just unpacking and vegging. It'll be nice just to relax and not have to rush out anywhere.

Well, have a good day.

Hello everyone,

Carla, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.  What a horror story.  So sad.

We had to take Benny back to the doctor today.  His little eyes were worse than ever this morning.  The drops the ER doctor prescribed on Sunday weren't having any effect at all.  So we went to see his pedi this morning.  Oh, she was just horrified when she looked in his ears.  She said the right ear drum was just "bulging".  Left ear is infected too.  Damn ER doctor.  Didn't HE notice that?  Anyway we got a high powered antibiotic for the ears, and a much much stronger eye drop for a bacterial eye infection.   Hopefully he'll start to improve now.

I had lots I wanted to do today, but we're all exhausted.  Chris called into work.  The baby is down for a nap and so are we.  I have a slight headache as well.  I just need to close my eyes for an hour.  You forget how exhausting it is to care for a sick baby.  I'm wiped out.

Love you all!
