Good Morning Sisters,
It's a sunny day here in Pennsylvania. The temps are supposed to drop was below freezing this week. I plan on going to an AA meeting tomorrow. Then, my next outing will be my podiatrist on Thursday.

Today, I'll hopefully be watching the playoffs. When my sister is home, she controls the remote, and she channel surfs, which makes me crazier than I already am.

Gotta run.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning Trish...nothng going on here except that we have this wind advisory....BRRRRRRRR 25* feels like 6* now...BRRRRRRR!!

Took a beef roast out of the freezer yesterday for supper today. That will make it nice and cozy in here with it being so darn cold outside...hahaha. Not to mention make it smell good in here also!!

Had a couple calls yesterday for apartments but they are looking for rental assistance or 2 bedroom and I have neither right now. I have several 1 bedroom units but nothing with rental assistance. Then they want washer and dryer IN the apartment. Nope we have those next to the club house in the laundry room. Sorry. But I did get one guy say he would come monday afternoon to look at one! :-) So hopefully he will take one!!

Well Rick is getting up so guess its time to start some breakfast. Promised bacon and eggs so best get started huh?

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!

Good morning Trish, Judy, Carla and all my OFF sistas!

Many blessings to each of you on this beautiful (chilly!) Sunday morning!  So good to have visits from Karen C and Monica this week.

Well, yesterday turned into a shop-til-ya-drop kind of day for me.  Spent the morning painting the trim in Benny's room.  Then I decided to run into JoAnns Fabrics in San Antonio in the early afternoon.  I had a good coupon that I wanted to use.  As far as I knew, there was only one JoAnns in SA.  It's a huge store, and boy, was it crowded yesterday!  I waited an hour for my turn at the cutting table.

Anyway, I found some decorator fabric on sale (at 60% off!) that I really liked.  I need to make new curtains for the living room, kitchen and dining room here at the lakehouse.  So I waited all that time only to find out that there wasn't enough fabric left on the bolt.  The lady said she could check the inventory at the other store.  WHAT other store?  Turns out they opened another JoAnns on the other side of SA.

Well, I drove all the way over there (SA is maybe not such a big city population wise, but like all Texas cities, it sprawls all over creation) and finally found it.  I'm so glad I went.  In fact, I wish I had started there.  That JoAnns wasn't crowded at all.  And they had the fabric I wanted.  I bought a very casual multi-colored stripe for the living room curtains.  I'm not making full length drapes for in there.  I want more of a cottage feel.  But I also bought the blackout lining for those curtains.  That room really heats up in the summer.

Then I bought a truly lovely fabric for in the kitchen and dining room.  It's a cream background with a trellis design and just small blotches of colors suggesting flowers and leaves, kinda like a watercolor painting.  Very pretty!

Oh, dear, Benny just woke up and his little eyes are swollen shut.  I think we might have to take him to the doctor this morning.  I'd better go get dressed.

Thanks, Connie and Eileen, for thinking about Benny.  We took him to the emergency care unit (not the big hospital, but a satellite) and got in to see the doctor right away.  He has conjunctivitis in BOTH eyes!  My kids had pink eye a couple of times when they were little, but it didn't look like this.  Turns out there are several kinds of pink eye--this one is bacterial.  So he got some antibiotic eye drops, 3 times a day, for the next several days.  Poor baby!  He looks miserable, but he's eating well today.  Hard to keep him from rubbing his little matted up eyes.  Gonna be a long afternoon for us all.  Thankful it's nothing worse though.  Mimi is baking him some cookies!  He gets one each time he has his eye drops.   And we're washing everything and wiping everything down with Clorox wipes.  Sure hope Chris and I don't get it!

Vickie....thank you for the update. Poor little Benny. I am glad you took him in and that it wasn't anything worse. Hope he gets some relief soon. I am also praying neither you nor Chris get it.

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Trish.....be careful outside. The temps are going to be dropping everywhere. It is 0 here right now with windchill of -17. High today of 7. Tomorrow windchill of -40. I will  be staying in and keeping warm!  Hope you get to watch the playoffs. Still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!!

Judy.....the beef roast sounds good. I love to smell a roast cooking. I have one I want to fix but will have to wait until I am feeling better. Hope you get some more people looking for apartments. I know the goal is to keep them filled. This must me a hard time of year for that. No one likes to move in the cold.

I feel a bit stronger today...not by much but I will take it!!  I stripped my bed as I want out of those germ infested sheets. I need a shower but will wait a bit for that. One thing at a time right now.

I can't remember who else posted......sorry . Wishing you all a good day!

Prayers for many in need......special prayers for others as well.

Love and many hugs....connie d

It's so windy here, I thought my little Baxter would blow away like a kite.

Since his heart attack and heart by-pass surgery, Tom has been eating the same food I eat. It has made cooking and grocery shopping SO much easier. His portions are smaller than he ever had before. The weird part is his sense of taste has become funky.
