Saturday Happenings

OMG, yes, Eileen!  It scares the **** out of me.  I hate it.  I feel like every time he goes over there we're playing Russian Roulette with all the terrorists.  Although I have to admit that a single jackup rig out over the water doesn't make much of an interesting target.  Still, crew change is scary for me.  Too much travel time in helicopters and vans and hotels, all over the Middle East.  I wrote him again this morning and told him it is time for him to come home!  I mean it.  31 years of this mess is enough.

Thanks for thinking of me.  I'm a pretty tough old broad, but even us tough old broads reach our breaking points every now and then. 

Well, yeah, all the travel still makes him a target. My brother travels all over the world for his job (although not as often as your hubby) and had to occasionally go to the Middle East (he works for Underwriters Labs and has done some work in the oil business because of it). He is considering retiring this year. There are places he enjoys going, like Germany, but the Middle East isn't one of them (although he did see the pyramids and the Sphinx).
