Good morning my OFF sistas!

We're up early today.  Going into San Antonio for Butch's doctor's appointment this morning.  I'll post again this afternoon and let you all know what we find out.

Moved a lot of furniture and boxes over the weekend and I'm sore!  But this house is starting to look more like a home and less like a warehouse.  Makes me very happy!

Love you all!

Good Morning Vickie and OFF Family,
I tried to post earlier, but my iPhone was acting possessed.

I see the ENT doctor today. It's a follow-up for a sinus infection I had three weeks ago.

I hope everyone has a blessed Monday.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning OFF Family,

Up and out early for a blood draw today for next weeks doctors visit.  Just my 3-month check up for meds.  Now I can eat breakfast.

I am so glad that everyone is back to work today.  The house is quite -- no demands on my time.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week today.

Hugs and prayers to all.  Sandra

Its monday need I say more?

Feeling a little better after the last few days last week. Rick's mom is going to buy us a baby ****atiel soon as the store gets them in. Not sure where she is getting the money from but Rick said let her because she will do it anyhow. OK. Bandit keeps going to Cocoa's cage looking for her...he doesn't understand why she isn't there playing with him anymore. The parakeets are still squawking like ever before. :-)

Went and got all my hair cut off this morning also. Was tired of it either hanging close to my head or flying high like an afro...all this electricity in the air....GRRRRRRRRRR but it looks better now anyhow!!!

Nothing new to report....Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

HUGS

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

Not much happening here. Getting on here late ... slept til 10:30 and then lounged in bed til nearly 11 a.m. Just had my lunch and will have to get ready for work soon.

Hope the doctor appointment went OK, Vickie. Knee problems are a pain, no pun intended. So is moving. I'm still unpacking.

Judy, sorry about the bird dying. Pets dying are always sad, whether it's a dog, cat, bird, fish ... we get so attached. We always outlive them. Hope the new bird suits you and Rick.

Well, that's all. Have a good day.

Hi all!

Vicky it’s nice to hear the “warehouse” is starting to look like a home.

Trish I don’t think I’ll ever get one of those phones.  I’m happy old school.  I realize it must be a God send in your current situations.

Carla you and Trish can keep your “I” stuff.  My DD has to have them too but, reports passion a lot too.  I sure can tell when people post on the boards with them.  Their posts seem possessed.

Sandra I had to fast for a blood draw at 1pm.  I had my yearly today.  I ended up not having to give blood as they just did it all in July for lap band.  Hope all went well.

Judy was Cocoa a ****atiel?  How long had Rick owned her?  I have a pearl ****atiel.  She is the smallest of my eight parrots.

Eileen, have a great day at work.  The late days are done now, right?

I start my two week pre-op liquid diet today!  This will be a long frustrating two week.  It makes it harder this time around.  I know this liquid diet isn’t necessary as the same thing would be accomplished with real food.  They just don’t feel some people can follow a diet so we all have to do the stupid shake thing.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

First let me say the liquid diet shrinks the liver and lets the dr have more room to work on the new pouch...so yeah its important to do this liquid diet. Good Luck!!

Rick's ****atiel was old about 20-25 years he thinks. She was a fun bird....I miss her alot. Rick doesn't say much but I know he hurts. Looking forward to the baby though. I told him to make sure this new one is a different color than Cocoa was!!! Hope its a white or yellow one....

Judy I just went thru getting my lap band removed in September.  They didn't make me do a darn thing.  No EKG, no Chest X-ray, no stress test, no blood work and no DIET.  Absolutely NOTHING!  The surgery to remove the band was just as long and harder than doing the band as they had to dig stuff out.

The surgeon came out and told my DH that the gallbladder and liver looked GREAT. I did that with Atkins. So there isn't a need to shrink it.  You would think with me using the for all three surgeries they would do things differently.  But, I have to and will do what ever they say even if it doesn't make since.

Our ****atiel is about 15 now.  She is a sweety!

Hello sistas!

Well, the doctor said that Butch's left knee is "bone on bone" and needs to be replaced.  No big surprise there.  He said the right knee wasn't quite as bad, so he's reserving judgment on whether or not it will need to be replaced.  No surgery date scheduled for certain yet, but we're looking at the end of Feb or early March I think.  So Butch will go back to Saudi on Jan 13th, return on Feb 14th, and then he'll be home for at least a couple of months, maybe three.  After that, we'll decide what to do next.

Good to read about everyone today.  But I'm pooped and am headed for the couch or the recliner now.  Love you all!
