Trying to start the New Years Day Thread! Maybe four Times is a Charm?

I'Ve been trying to write this message 4 times this morning I'm not having very good luck! cyber space is sleeping this morning!
I am starting a project today. Im going to refinish my kitchen table. I bought a sander and all the things I need and took a in line class. I hope I can do it!
My dad used to do refinishing and I used to watch him. So hopefully it will come back to me.
I need to go put my coffe pot on! I'll check back later .

Well we made i****ching the ball drop last night...then we went to bed...Rick is so exhausted from cleaning snow and ice...omg. Hope Jason shows up today to help him clean more of that ****ty white stuff!!! Jason has been off sick with the flu last few days. So Rick has been cleaning snow alone.
Its 25* here and supposed to have a chance for freezing drizzle today. OMG what next??????????? The snowplow guy came after I called and told him how he covered up the handicap ramps and some sidwalks. He also shoved the snow back in further so we can now see if traffic is coming so we can pull out into the road!!! Now if he can remember to do it right next snow fall!!!!!!!!!!
Colored my hair yesterday and today it is all flyaway or sticking close to my head!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Well that is about all my news for today. Need to get dressed and take Bandit out for his potty walk. Then I am going to get the box out of the shed and take the tree down. Its so pretty to see at night but it takes up so much room in here!!! Plus the carpet needs to be scrubbed...like that will happen soon...hahaha

Butch and I didn't plan to ring in the New Year, but we did. OMG. The fireworks! I never heard so many explosions in my life! I wish I had the money to burn (literally) that some of our neighbors did last night. Fireworks went off from about 9 p.m. to midnight. Poor little Patty Kate was so terrified.
I can hear Benny in his crib. He is calling out "I love you"! I guess I'd better go get him, sweetest boy!

I had a totally crappy day yesterday. My Mom is out of her blasted, freaking mind. On Friday, she told me she'd take me to the medical supply store to get a knee walker. Yesterday, she told me she wasn't taking me. Then, she took me but refused to let anyone get it out of her car. I absolutely was beside myself. Finally, my sister made her give up her car keys so my nephew could get it out of the car for me. I spent $300 so I could be able to go potty without someone pushing me in a wheelchair. My Mom is certifiably crazy.
Today, my sister wants to go see Les Miserables.
I don't know what I'm doing since I can't drive.

Good morning and Happy New Year everyone!!
If you read my post yesterday you will understand I am in so much pain. It hurts to take a deep breath or move my body. I was in bed asleep before 9 last night! I am going to take a long HOT shower and pray it helps some.

The day is starting out poorly for me, too. My knee and back are bothering me, although the vicodin did help. Storms aren't forecast, but it is cloudy. I was on Skype with my brother when I dropped my coffee all over the floor. My brother says the ho****er is out at my mom's house ... the ho****er heater is leaking, so he'll have to get a new one. He called the plumber, and he'll be over tomorrow. He has spent the past two days getting his den ready for the live-in caregiver to sleep in. Mom isn't feeling well; she's very constipated. The nurses have given her stool softeners, fiber, suppositories ... and she still is having problems. I suggested power pudding ... it's something they gave me in the hospital after my first knee surgery. It works very quickly. I sent my brother a link to the recipe.
Well, I work tonight again. Then I have two days off. I really must get stuff unpacked around here. I have to get into work early again, but I'll be done early again. My legs have been very swollen lately. I need to get them up for a couple of days to get the swelling down.
Connie, sorry you are in so much pain. While I don't feel like there's an elephant on my chest, I do know what your pain can feel like in the rest of the body. After working seven days in a row (and a day of driving before that), I'm beat. I need my weekend desperately.

Happy Afternoon/evening New Year OFF family,
Wow, a lot of people are ill, even here at work, they come in and wear a mask, seems like we can't give sick time off on a Holiday without getting "points" and I'm not talking Weigh****chers points either. Yuck, I'm wiping down phones last night. The flu bug is alive and well all over the darn place.
Woke up this morning and my chest was heavy so I went in our sauna and that cleared me right up. I may just call hubby and have him heat up the sauna again so I can use it b/4 I go to bed.
Dropped off clothes left by the grandkids today and Remi is now down with the flu too. He was in bed sleeping. I think I will just take it easy when I get home and rest...but I will do laundry tomorrow.
