Thanks, we will have the same surgery and surgeon too.  You must have been one of the first.  They hadn't done any vsg's when I got the band in 2/09.

I was the third one. That is why I feel I still have so much to learn... August 4. 2009 was my date. Good luck to you I will be watching your progress.

They said two of the first four had issues.  I hope you weren't one of them.

I was told I was the third one by the nursess. No I did great at first. Lost 130 pounds in a year in 16 months. I did have to be careful because my blood sugar would go down alot. You'll do great just follow the plan and keep you mind on the prize. Then I moved here in Kansas and my blue cross blue shield said they didn't do sleeve surgery here in Kansas but there were so many that had the sleeve done here. Just many Insurance problems. I didn't believe the pych that a lot of this was just in your mind. It is a head issue not just heretitary issue. As I have told many My brother and aunt died at over 500 pounds my brother was 26. My grandmother was over weight and my father is over weight I have a little sister that is over 400 pounds. My dad had the gastric bypass in Jan 2009 and is doing pourley too. I think I have to get my mind set and be able to have support I do not have that here in Kansas. I am going to meet with a nutrionist next week. It is going to cost me but I did not get this far to fail and my mind is set now just have to keep the HB on board because he just don't understand..
