Just wanted to pop in this am as I can't get to sleep.  I made it back from my three weeks cruising with my sister and friend.  Got back to the good 'ol USA Christmas Eve, Eve.  Jumped right into baking for Christmas Dinner at my hours.  The Turkey that the DH took out of the freezer 7 days before for me was still frozen solid when I got to it at 10 the night before.  I never would have dreamed and didn't check it.

Made it thru Christmas.  Had all three daughters and their DH's here with the four grandkids and three dogs.  My house just isn't laid out for parties but, it was great having them all home.

I got my Date for surgery while I was in between two 10 day cruises.  They wouldn't set it up with the DH even though I asked them to as I'd be gone.  So it was delayed from the first of the year until the 22.  But it will be happening.  Not that long ago the insurance was saying no way so I am so very happy that in four week I will have a new tool.  I had manage to keep from gaining the first three months but, lost the battle and have gained 20 pounds this month.

I couldn't wait to let you all know I am getting my sleeve.  But, this is the first chance that I have gotten to take a deep breath since getting home.

I hope all is going well with you and you have a great day.

Morning and WELCOME back!!!! Glad you had a good time!!! And CONGRATS on your date!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing new here with me except my son won't be coming for a visit because of the weather. Talked it over and its best to not travel in this crap. He agreed and will wat for a better time to travel here. Miss him alot.

Snowing again here right now...about an inch or so out there already. Did I mention I hate this weather?? My main worry now is going to be when all this crappy white stuff melts are we going to be flooded out????????? I hate this weather.

The guy that was doing the plowing quit. This is/was his frist time plowing and he admitted it was more than he could handle. Sooooooooooo I had to call the regular guy back and beg him to take us back again. Thank GOD he said he would!!! I explained to him how bad the new guy left it and he said he already saw it. Said they would fix it for us. :-)

Well time to find something to do.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them right now.

HUGS

Good morning everyone......

Pineview.....so glad to hear you will be having your surgery soon. I wish you the very best!! Nice to see your post this morning. I am sure you had a wonderful time on you trip.

I am home getting a shower and a change of clothes. I can't believe that Pam's mom is still hanging on. She stopped breathing for a bit yesterday but came back. Sitting there all day sure does make you worn out. The chairs aren't the best either. Lots of pain again today. Oh well....Pam needs me so I will be there!!!

Wishing you all a great day!! Prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hi Pineview and my OFF family:

Sounds like you had fun cruising. Me, I spent Christmas in the Chicago area. No winter weather there, but plenty in southern Indiana. Go figure. Snowing again now.

Early deadlines now until Jan. 2. So I have to be in to work at 2 p.m. I got up at 5 a.m. today sweating bullets ... not sure why, but I had to get a pair of ice packs on me to cool off. It was nasty. I was tired and wanted to sleep but I was burning up.

Connie, sorry about your friend's mom ... hope you feel better. My mom is doing better and should come home next week.

Well, take care. I should get in the shower and get ready for work.

Hello sistas!

Pineview, what is your name please?  Just your first name is fine, you know.  I'm very happy for you and your surgery date.  You can do this!

I am taking it very easy today.  Benny is still sick, but maybe a little better.  Same for Chris.  I woke up with a sinus headache, which thankfully went away, but now I feel rather dizzy.  Little spells of vertigo.  I hope I'm not getting sick like Chris and Benny.  At least my nose isn't running.  Yet.

Talked to Butch yesterday.  He is making progress moving the big outdoor stuff from our old house to the farm.  Had several trucks, tractors, our 5th wheel camper, etc. still to move.  We promised the new people we would have it all gone by the 1st.  Today he is with his family for their Christmas party.  Hopefully he and Juan will finish up moving things tomorrow, and then he'll come home on Monday.

Doing a bit better with my diet the past two days.  Sugar monster is still there, raising it's ugly head every couple of hours.  I'm trying to fight it back down into submission.  Today I am cooking a big pot of pinto beans, baking a couple of sweet potatoes, and I might make a pan of cornbread.  I have plenty of leftover ham and even some leftover steak to go with it.

Benny is down for his nap, and I'm going to lie down and read for a couple of hours.  Nothing pressing to do today, so why not?

Love you all!

Judy and others Thanks for the welcome back.  It is good to be here even if there is this nasty white stuff all over and cooold.  I’m there with you on this.

Carlak I’m from the Flint area and my sister moved to Bradenton, FL.  She just sold here house there and moved back to MI.  She must have bumped her head.  I will miss it as I stayed with her when I cruised out of Tampa.

Connie I know how hard and draining it is.  When my Dad was dying with cancer we were told he should have passed much sooner but had the heart of a 40 year old at 79.  My sister stayed with him the last few nights, it’s harder than 12 hours at work not to mention the emotional drain, just sitting.

Debbie what did you have?  I don’t see it on your header.  It will be back on the bench for me.  I’m a band to sleeve revision.

Eileen isn’t the snow fall just a crazy thing around here.  Some time they can get 6-12 inches in Detroit and Midland and we only get 1 or 2 in Flint.  Grand Rapids can get tons and 50 miles east-non.  Love those Great Lakes.

Vickie I don’t use my name (even the first is a little uncommon) PV or Piney is just fine.  My 6 year old grandson is sick too.  The poor little guy slept thru Christmas even with his sister and cousins raising heck.  I too can’t get a handle on the sugar monster.  Once I let him out there is no easy way to cage him back up.

It is great to be back here read about your lives.  Best to all!

Okay, PV, I understand.  Certainly want you to be comfortable posting here, so no more questions!

The sugar monster is quite a stubborn monster, isn't he?  I'm still working on putting him back in the box!
