Carolyn....it is wonderful to see your post. I knew you went somewhere but couldn't remember where. Nice that you could help your sister. Good luck with your lap band surgery!! Happy to hear your daughter is doing well. Sorry her ex is still being a jerk.....they never change do they!!
Got to go now...my ex Tony is here watching the Vikings play with me. It starts in 5 minutes and I need to grab us something to drink.

Today is a sad day for me. My mama is gone 48 years. I wish I would of known what she would of looked like! I often wonder!
We are having a heat wave here in Chicago! It is 32 right now! I think we are going home in Tuesday. Im ready to warm up.

Hello from Alaska! Just checking in, as I am new on this forum and am waiting for my surgery. I'm approved and it was supposed to be Jan 7 but DS and his wife are planning a cruise and Grandma (me) gets to watch sweet granddaughter (1 yr). Dr said no picking up the wee ones after surgery till he clears me, so I'm rescheduling for Feb 11th. RNY at last, after first looking into it 9 years ago and letting myself get talked out of it. I have toughened up a lot since then and am really looking forward to seeing what I can make of it.
Looks like a nice place you all have here, would love to join in :^) And speaking of cold weather, I'd complain about my 17 below but my sister teaches in North Pole where it hit minus 52 this week! She's excited because the high school where she teaches is going to be putting in plug-ins for students' cars (so they can plug in their headbolt heaters to keep the oil in the engines warm enough to turn over). So I'll enjoy my lovely chilly day down here in South Alaska, ha!
