Saturday Happenings-What's Up?

Good Morning Family,

Well, my travel plans to Michigan must be altered.  I am unable to move to Michigan with my belongings.  I saw my podiatrist about my broken foot, and he says I must have surgery to put screws in the fracture.  It's my right foot, and the surgery MUST be done next week.  Then, it'll take 4-8 weeks to recuperate till I'm well enough to go to Michigan.  So, my son is driving my belongings to Michigan, and I'm staying with my sister during my recuperation.  

So, today, I have some sit-down jobs at hand.  Pray my sister, sister-in-law and Mom can come help me get this place together.  I'm still hosting dinner on Christmas day.  My apartment is in chaos because of the move.  

I am still in shock about what the podiatrist said yesterday.  Everything is happening so fast.

Morning Trish! OMG how did you break your foot???????? I am so sorry that you won't be going to michigan soon as you wanted to!!! But with this crappy weather maybe its a blessing that you have to stay where you are right now.

My eye is still bloody looking this morning. Great. Not sure how long before its normal again. Oh well. Just gonna be us here for Christmas anyhow. Jason said he would come over after we asked him if he was doing anything for Christmas. He said not til the day after. OK so come here and be with us. He said Cool!!! We sure have a good man working for us now and we love it!! Randy eat your heart out!!!!!!!!! Did I mention that Randy used me as a referance for a job? Yeah he did!!! This place called me and asked me some questions about him...I told her the only things I would tell her is Yes he did put his TIME in and NO I would NEVER hire him again!!!!!!! She thanked me for being honest and said good-bye. How dare he use me for a ref??????????? OMG can you believe that guy???

Anyhow the snow stopped for now...still windy yet. 28* not sure what the wind chill is besides COLD!!!! BRRRRRR Need to go to the store for a few things we need for the weekend. We are off til wednesday unless there is an emergency. Hopefully there won't be any!!!

Rick's ****atiel isn't doing good. She is old 20 or so and we aren't sure how long they live either. All her feathers are falling out and she is just sitting on floor of her cage. She used to dance all over it and chirp when we were coming home...nothing at all anymore....so sad. She looks like a plucked chicken. :-(

So time for me to get things cleaned up around here incase company shows up. My son said they might be coming for weekend after Christmas but with him you never know...lol.

Trish......sorry your plans have had to change. You know there is a reason for everything. In God's time you will get there. That is what I tell myself about finding an apartment too. I still don't know how you broke your foot. Sorry you need surgery. I pray all goes well for you!!  Hope your family will be there to help you prepare for your Christmas gathering.

Judy.....that Randy is a few bottles short of a six pack....good grief how dumb is he......I am so glad he is gone!!  Jason sounds like a much better and more dependable worker then Randy ever was. It is nice that you offered to have Jason over for Christmas.....but then that is just you....always so caring!!

I am going to meet a couple friends for "buck burgers" about 12:30-1:00. That is about all I have planned. I should stop and pick out my new glasses. I Always forget to do that!! I wear contacts most of the time.

Hi Connie...well I guess we are having more guests than planned for Christmas...now Pat another tenant told me he was coming over for dinner...HUH???????? Well how do you tell someone no?? Just can't tell him that as he is all alone and also gave us a ham for Christmas...maybe that is why??? LOL So now I need to get MORE groceries than I planned on....just for this meal to go far enough just incase more show up!!!

That burger sounds good!! Wish they had GOOD burgers around here!!! Miss the "bar" burgers used to get back home!!!  Oh well.

Yes Jason IS much better than jerk Randy ever thought to be!!! Hell he was on his cell phone more than he worked!!! I also mentioned to Rick its nice to actually have an employee talk to me other than "I did that to make you look good!!!" SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad he is no longer here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trish, so sorry you have to put off your move. How on earth did you break your foot? I guess you have to do what you have to do. You'll get there, eventually. Take care of yourself.

I made it to Chicago this evening, a little later than I wanted, but early enough. Tired and then I did laundry (still doing laundry) while watching football. The bad part is the w/d at Mom's is in the basement, so I have to be careful going down the stairs. But at least it's free.

My post went into cyber space somewhere! we just had a belated Hanukkah party!  we had 18 people here in a 800 square ft apartment! it was crowded! to much food!

Im beat!Im ready to go back to Florida to warm up!

Eileen maybe we can meet up on Sunday. Morning. I think we might be leaving on Tuesday.
