Wishing you. . .
Peace. . .
As we go into the last of the craziness that is the Holiday Season, I wish you safe journeys and peace, time spent with loved ones and may 2013 find you living the lives you were meant to have, sharing your joys and whatever life brings you with the company of good friends and family!
Merry Christmas, as that is the holiday I celebrate, but whatever yours is (or isn't) I wish you happiness!
With love, Laureen

This little family has been so consistent in TLC, support and encouragement. It is a gift to so many of us. My hope for each and every one of you (and me too) is that Christmas is peaceful, and that 2013 is a better year for each and every on of us.
With so much aloha always,
Melekalikimaka!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all ( as those are the holidays I celebrate this time of year, please make my wishes apply to whatever you celebrate)..
Although we are still all here on Dec 21 despite end of Mayan calendar, today in Ottawa, Canada, we are having a snow Armageddon similar to the blizzards of my youth ( and so not anything from Global Warming). I once likened it to dropping a shovel full of sand on an anthole....nothing happens for a while, and then slowly things start moving under the sand and emerging...that is how the city is reacting to this massive dump of snow.
I did all my errands yesterday, including rescheduling my Xmas mani-pedi from 2 pm today to last night last apt at 7.30 pm and got out at closing 9 pm...30 minutes after I got home, I could hear freezing rain and ice pellets rattle on my windows. It changed to thick snowfall a couple of hours later and overnight into today and tonight. Today I finish Christmas wrapping, while drinking wine and listening to Xmas CDs, and so happy I am retired and not battling the Mayan end of the World snowfall outside.
Cheers!

Merry Christmas Laureen and my OFF family:
I drove six hours and made it to Chicago today ... left knee doesn't feel too bad, but both legs are swollen. My brother is still at his job, Mom is in the rehab facilitiy, so I'm all alone until later. Gary has decorated the house nicely ... it was brightly lit when I got here. The whole family (minus Mom) will be here tomorrow for our family gathering. We'll take turns visiting Mom during the day.
Have a nice holiday, whatever you celebrate.
