Good morning Carla and everyone.....

Carla...have  safe trip and enjoy time with your family!!

My daughter, Jamie called me this morning. She confirmed Nic and my flight to St Jude in Memphis. I will be going with Nic to get his testing, bone marrow, scans etc. done. I will leave here on the 4th and we will leave for Memphis early on the 7th of January. He has testing on the 7th, 8th and 9th. Then back to Iowa again. I am going to drive to their house and back home again. I wish I could  afford to fly!! I might have to take the bus if my pain is too bad to drive. The bus takes twice as long to get there but I wouldn't have to worry about the stressful drive if the pain is bad. I am looking forward to seeing my little Gracie and spending some time with her too!!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!! Sorry to say I won't be able to send out Christmas cards this year. My hands hurt so bad and I really don't have money  for postage. This makes me sad as this is the first year in 40+ years I haven't been able to send out cards. You all know I love you and  wish you a very Merry Christmas!!

Prayers for so many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Connie, don't feel bad about not sending out cards. I didn't do it last year and my friend Mary Kay suggested I send out e-cards ... so that's what I did. Not to everyone, of course, because there are people who don't have email addresses, but to those that did, I did. I sent regular cards out to a few people (I was moving last year at Christmas, so I just didn't have time). So consider the e-cards if you want to ... cheaper, too ... you can do it for free.

Good Afternoon Carla and all of my OFF Family,

I had to rush out the door first thing this morning to run some errands before noon.  First, I went to the Amish Market here.  I picked up some frozen cheesecake for dessert on Christmas, as well as some sort of Bowlbi Nuts, for Mom.  She has diverticulitis, and can't eat regular nuts.  She says these taste like pecans, but aren't real nuts, so they don't bother her digestive system.  They will be a stocking stuffer for her.

Then, I had to go to the agency I used to volunteer at to fax something.  After that, the grocery store.  My goal was to get last minute things for Christmas, and it ended up costing $106.  Ouch.  After that, I got my hair trimmed.  Finally, I got my hair trimmed.  It was getting out of control.

I have to leave in an hour to go to my final therapy session with my therapist.  He and I have been working together for 23 years.  There was a time when I couldn't imagine ending therapy with him, because of a huge abandonment issue I had most of my life.  After I was hospitalized in January, we started spacing my sessions every 6-8 weeks.  Now, I believe I am ready.  I'm not sure if I'll get into therapy in Michigan, but it is not at the top of my priority list.

I am also in full panic mode about packing for the move and getting ready for Christmas.  I'm so overwhelmed.

Praying for everyone.

Love,

Trish

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

I was out doing laundry this morning ... five loads, ugh. Nice laundromat, though ... lots of washers and dryers, very clean, well lit. Much nicer than some I have been to in the far distant past. Got home and turned the TV on and heard the horrifying news of the shooting at the elementary school shooting. Gee, if you want to kill yourself, just do it and don't take innocent people out with you. I was bullied too (I don't know what the problem with this guy was ... supposedly his mom worked at the school and she was killed), but I never took out my tormenters. Of course, I just stuffed my emotions with food ... yeah, I took it out on myself.

After laundry, my knee is really achy and sore. So I have ice on it and I'm trying to get the pain level down before I have to go to work. I'm sure it will be busy tonight. I still have to put my clothes away, but I just had to get the pain down in my knee first.

Talked to mom for awhile; she seemed OK. She had a neighbor over while my brother was out of the house; for that, I'm grateful because she shouldn't be alone. So our conversation was short.

Anyway, that's all from me. Have a good day.
