Damp Sunday Greetings
Good Morning Family,
Well, the only thing I managed to accomplish on Saturday was to buy more green and white (Spartan) yarn, and enjoy my sister's birthday luncheon. We had about 22 people, and it turns out Mom sent Eileen a check, and that covered the entire bill, minus half the tip. My son, Chris, was shocked at how low the bill was given all the food we had. First there was a fruit cup, and yummy cheese or cinnamon bread. Then a salad and pencil points and red sauce. Then, we got to order our platters from about eight different choices. The popular ones at my table were flounder, chicken parmigiana and london broil. There were others that were ordered at the other table. Eileen got some nice gifts. I couldn't think of what to get her, so I gave her cash. One of her friends gave her a Dell laptop. My sis-in-law got her a Nook reader. She received other nice gifts. I felt funny about my gift after seeing everyone else's. Part of my problem was, I had no clue what I'd be chipping in for the meal, so I had to be conservative.
Anyway, while I was at the luncheon, I invited myself to New York, to spend the day with my son and daughter-in-law. Casey will be singing in a concert in the afternoon, and I want to see the Christmas tree at Rockafeller Center. I've never seen it before. I also want to see the kids's apartment, now that it is furnished. I only saw it when they first took possession and it had no furniture in it. So, I'll hop on the train in Trenton in the morning, and spend the day with them. I'm not sure when I'll get to New York again after I move.
Connie, my move is the weekend after Christmas. We are loading the truck on Saturday the 29th, and hopefully driving to Pittsburgh afterward. Then, the next day, finishing the trip to Michigan. Hopefully, we can get the truck unloaded the same day, so that I can sleep in my own bed.

Glad that you had a good time yesterday and are going to see that apartment today. As for the move to Michigan...hope the weather holds out for your trip!!! Best Wishes!!!
Went to BINGO last night...lost my money. Tried a new drink though...it was a Dr. McGillicuddy's Liqueur Root Beer flavor. I had it mixed with coke. OMG it was so good!!! Need to find this liqueur in the store for another time....:-) Someone suggested having it with melted Vanilla ice cream...now that also sounded so good!!!! :-)
Yesterday was a day from hell here! Tenants are all *****ing on parking spots...there are NO assigned parking spots except mine and Rick's. HELLO!!!!!!!!!! They all KNOW this yet are complaining that the new tenant is in THEIR spot....excuse me...there ARE alot of parking spots and you do NOT need the exact same one each and every time!!!!!!!!!!! One threatened to call the owner...go for it....he will tell you the same thing!!!!!!! NO ASSIGNED PARKING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seems the closer we get to Christmas the more they are complaining!!! I am ready to EXPLODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT looking forward to monday at all!!!!!!!!!!!! And if it keeps up they bes****ch out!!! Boss will be here wednesday for the party and also tenant meeting. I can see all hell breaking out at this party!!!!!!!!! Still think I should spike the egg nog!!!! LOL mellow these people out!!!!!
Finally see there are hams on sale starting today!! So soon as I get Rick up we are headed to buy the hams for the party wednesday and also some much needed groceries for us!! Freezer is getting thin on food....lucky freezer!!!! (getting thin..little joke there haha)
Still can't find the hats I made...so I am starting new ones...now watch they will turn up soon as I get the new ones made!!!
Heard from my oldest son last night. Seeing as we can't come to michigan this year they might be coming here. :-) Not sure yet if its just him and his girlfriend or the kids also. Thinking just them...no kids. Asked him if it was just them if they would bring my mom so I could see her. Sure if she will come with them. :-) So waiting to know if kids are coming and if not mom will...wooohooo either way I am happy to see some of my family for the Christmas holiday!!!!!!!!!!! As for Rick's family...his daughter is still pissed at him for not getting her a $100.00 fleece jacket that she wants. She has me off her friends list on FB and claims she has him blocked on her phone. Rick tried talking to her but she is not going to. He said she isn't going to get ANYTHING from him if she keeps it up. I do not blame him at all. She is acting like a 2 year old having a tantrum instead of an almost 22 year old!!! Neither one of us ever had a jacket that cost $100 and its not gonna happen for her from us. She wants it that bad she needs to stop buying her so called boyfriends gifts. Nuff said.
Well best get going here and get ready to shop....yippeeeee.

Trish....that birthday dinner sounds like it was quite the affair. I am sure your sister will be happy with what you gave her. Enjoy your trip to NY. Some friends of mine just sent me pics from there. The tree is gorgeous!
Judy......you sure have your hands full with all the whiners around there. Maybe you need to post a sign that says no assigned parking or have your boss bring it up at the meeting. They act like little kids!
I had plans this morning to go to an omelette breakfast and then watch the Viking game. I am snowed in and more snow coming!! I can't get out of my driveway and the street is awful. Huge drifts everywhere. The wind is supposed to pick up. With the snow coming it will really be bad!! YAY stuck at home with my sister complaining all day is just what I need!!

Connie these tenants KNOW there is NO assigned parking here except for my car and Rick's truck!!! You are right...they are all a big bunch of babies and it WILL be talked about at the meeting wednesday!!!!!!! I am so sick of them boohoohoooing!!!!!!!!!!
You keep that snow there we are not wanting it here yet....lol As for your sister...maybe ask her to step outside and then toss a snowball at her or wash her face in the snow...lol sorry!

Sounds like you had a nice day yesterday, Trish. Glad you will get to see your son's apartment. Judy, just relax ... you can't make everyone happy in that complex.
I finally got mail at my new address ... a couple of Christmas cards, including one from my nephew, his wife and their son, which had a photo of the trio. Cute little boy, now 2, looks a lot like his dad. The new baby is due Jan. 31 and will be named William Christopher Briesch, using my brother's middle name and his dad's first name. Going to be another big baby, so might be a C-section this time again.
Gray and gloomy here but warm ... 64 degrees. I'm still waiting to get my newspaper. I haven't gotten one all week. If they don't start delivering one, I'm going to cancel and just pick it up at work. I like getting one at home, but this is ridiculous. I really want a Sunday paper.
Not much else happening here. Back to work tonight. Have a good day.
Eileen I am trying to relax....these people are so set in their ways and parking its unreal!!!!!!!! I am ready for them come tomorrow....trust me!!!
Our local paper has NOTHING in it!! Anything that happens around here it is NEVER in our paper!! Wonder why??? I get it on wednesdays because they do have the names of people that went to court or pulled over by police...other than that...no news!!! it is like we do not exsist!! Same thing for the news on TV...nothing for our area...makes me crazy!!!

Afternoon, sistas!
Well, here it is, 12:30 p.m. and Benny and I are both still in our jammies. But we're happy, so I guess it's okay.
Trish, wow, what a party. And so much food and so many presents! I hope your sister realizes how blessed she is. I haven't had a party like that since I've been an adult/teenager.
Not much going on around here today. Chris had to work from 9 to 2 today, and she was mad about it. Sunday is usually her day off. THe extended Christmas hours are killing both of us. I've got bedtime duty FIVE nights next week. Oh, I just dread it. I'd much rather have breakfast duty than bedtime duty. And tomorrow I have both. Ugh.
I've also got my little minor skin cancer surgery tomorrow. Double ugh. I'll have a few stitches in my left arm and they already told me not to lift anything. Ha! Fat chance of that with a 2 year old. I'll just have to do the best I can and hope I don't pop any stitches.
Got to talk with Butch this morning. Just one more weekend to get through before he comes home. We have spent so many Christmases apart, we are both excited that he gets to be home this Christmas.
We have our first real cold front on the way this afternoon. Supposed to freeze here the next 3 nights. Then back up into the 70s again at the end of the week. It will be just enough of a cold spell to kill all the flowers, darn it.
