Morning OFF family!!! 47* here this morning but looks like rain.

Not sure what I am doing today other than trying to find those camo hats I made for gifts to send home!!! Have no idea where they are!!! I had them all right here next to my desk and now they are gone...sighs. I am not going home this year. Just don't have the money for the trip and motel for a couple days. Staying with family...never. Long story. Just plan on staying here instead. Have not been at our home in a few years now and its time I guess. Will miss my mom the most. She is 91 and just never know if she will be around for the next Christmas. Chance I have to take I guess.

Tenants upset with me. They think I increased their rent. I had nothing to do with it at all. That came from the owner. He also increased the amount for them to rent the club houses. Can hardly wait to get that info out and more complaints. Well if they clean it and abide the rules they get their money back. No big deal unless we have to clean it up after they are done then we keep their money.

Christmas Party is this wednesday at noon. Along with that is the tenant meeting. Boss better be here for this one!!! It leaked out yesterday that a coupkle tenants were going door to door trying to collect money for a gift from them to us for Christmas. Nice. Then I heard how alot slammed the door in their faces and told them how much they hated us. Sighs. I can't win them all but I try. It hurts to know how hated we are by some of them. But I am trying to look on the bright side and remamber ALL that DO like us!!!

Need to wrap more gifts today also to send home. Have to mail the box out soon I guess so it is there on time for Christmas.

So that is about it for me today.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!

HUGS

Good morning Judy, Trish and everyone......

Judy....sorry you can't get home for Christmas. It might be kind of nice though with just you and Rick. I will be alone this Christmas too. I can't afford nor can I stand the pain of driving to Iowa this year. I could go to my daughter's in Bloomington but my car has a glitch and I don't want to take it out of town. Can't get it fixed until after the new year.

Trish....I know you are moving but you haven't said when or maybe you did and I missed it. I hate moving but can't wait until I can again!!

Not much new with me. I went out with a couple girlfriends last night. It was fun but my heart wasn't in it. I didn't drink so I was the driver. I don't mind being the driver because I hardly ever have a drink. The men were crazy last night. If I wanted a one night stand, something I have never done, it would have been the night for it. Good grief!!

My girlfriend is a bartender and wants me to come and hang out with her at the bar today. Not sure if I will. It is hard to sit on bar stools for long. Maybe I will for a couple hours later on. I haven't decided yet. She said it will be good for me to get out of the house for a while.

We are supposed to be getting a bad snow storm tonight. I will be staying in then for sure!!

Wishing you all a beautiful day!! Prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs....connie d

Good Morning Judy and OFF Family,

Judy, I'm sorry you can't get home for Christmas.  I plan to come home the Christmases my daughter and her family come home to PA.  Not sure I'll stay at my sister's though.  Her place is a pig sty, and she does not have Internet.  I'd probably stay in a hotel nearby.

I woke up with a killer headache this morning,  I overslept  and missed both morning AA meetings,  Now, I keep falling asleep in my rocking chair.  I need to make some coffee.

Anywho, today will be spent blitzing my bedroom to prepare for the move.  I also must hit the basement.  I also have a 60th birthday luncheon for my sister to attend.  We are having it at a nice restaurant in New Jersey, because most of her friends and coworkers are from there, since she works for the state there.  While I really can't afford to help pay for this, my sis-in-law, Mom, and I are paying for it.  We're expecting 22 people.  Argh!  We do this for the big birthdays, all the -0 birthdays,

Well, I better hop into the shower if I'm going to be decent enough for this gig,

Hugs,,

Trish

Hi Judy and my OFF family:

Sorry you can't get home for Christmas. I am getting home this year ... didn't last year because I was moving and I decided to be nice to my former employer ...yeah, a lot of good that did for me when they didn't pay me like they were supposed to (they did eventually, but screwed everything up for me). Well, that's all in the past. I'm making a quick trip this year ... I have a feeling this may be the last time I see Mom. I'm just worried about her and my brother's reports about her. Like your mom, Judy, she is getting up there ... she's 88 and she really doesn't take very good care of herself. If my brother wasn't there, she probably wouldn't eat or drink or anything right now. I'm so glad he moved in with her (although I'm sure he's not so happy about it at times ... she can drive a person to drink).

It's 53 and dreary here so I think it's going to rain. At least that's the forecast. Body feels it, too. Not much happening here. Back to work tonight. We had a Christmas party at work last night. Nice party ... really good spread of finger foods, plus they even had booze, which surprised me. I didn't drink because I was working, but they had beer and wine. I just had Diet Coke. But they had some fancy little desserts, veggies, cheese, chicken wings, egg rolls, little croissant sandwiches ... lots of goodies. Made for a good dinner. I had this woman in front of me who kept holding up the line when people were greeting her, and this old man who asked what everything was ... cheese, chicken wings, etc. Don't know if he was partially blind or had comprehension problems.

Well, not much else happening. Have a good day.

Evenin' sistas!

Oy vey!  Such a long day today!  I'm wiped out and it's only 7:30 p.m.  Thank goodness Christie is home and can put Benny to bed.  This ol' Mimi is fixin' to hit the hay right now.

Love to come here and read about everyone's day.  Also enjoying the wassail thread.  "Here we come a'wassailing along the merry way . . . "  Would be fun to have a wassail party with all you gals.

Too pooped to write anything interesting tonight.  Love you all!
