Thursday - where did the week go??
Hello OFF family!!
Not much going on today! I hit the 50 lb weight loss and very happy about it. I got into some bad habits and have been working very hard to correct my eating habits. When I don't eat enough protein I don't lose. So off the junk food and healthy choices for me. It's amazing how one wrong choice can lead to so many bad choices.
We live in a gated community and over the last ten years my in-laws have followed and all moved here. So last night we all had dinner together and I had to listen to how my brother and sister-in-law hate all the rules. I'd finally had enough and said if you don't like the rules then move out or just stop it...you knew when you bought in here. Well that stopped the conversation! They were arguing about stop signs, are you kidding me. Then the topic switched to why don't we take a vacation and I said we don't have the money. Sister-in-law say's but plane tickets aren't that expensive...so I say do you have a saving account or money to fall back on if needed? She says yes, I say ok that's the difference between us. When we lost our home and claimed bankruptcy we loss everything we struggle just to pay the bills. Again she says but you can still find good deals on vacations. I finally thru up my hands and said I give up. Steve stepped in and said I'm beat and need to get some sleep. Had to vent, talking to them is like hitting your head on a brick wall, they don't get it.
Connie, I so hope your pain goes away and you can enjoy stuff more.
Vickie, I use to have 50 3 and 4 year olds that I was in charge of at a preschool I know how active they can be. But I do love that age.
Nancy, hope you get good news from the doctor today. I also agree with you and gifts and a day on the calendar.

And I'm like you, no vacations if I don't have the money. Period the end. I have to have the vacation paid for when I go on them or else I don't enjoy myself. No money? Well I enjoy "staycations" at home! We live close to Lake Michigan and to several campsites and besides we live in the country on 10 acres...no one around and peace and quiet. Hugs Debbie
Hi Nancy and my OFF family:
Getting on here late. ... I had PT this morning and I have graduated to just once a week now. So I am making progress. Stopped off on the way back to get a light bulb for my ceramic Christmas tree and fiddled with it to get it to work. So at least I have one decoration working.
At work last night, I found out the young woman who wasn't doing well was let go ... well, she resigned ... I'm sure she was forced to resign. I heard she got two months' severance as well. Sunday was the last straw ... she didn't come in until my boss called her at 5:30 p.m. and woke her up. She was right out of college and had been an intern ... just wasn't cutting it. They kind of threw her in the deep end. ... made me wonder what they are teaching these kids in school these days. So we are short a person but actually we had been doing a lot of her work anyway.
Otherwise, not a whole lot going on. Back to work tonight. I'm going to put up a few more decorations before work. Have a good day.

Finally got the petty cash checks today...NOT what we were hoping for...was promised an increase and it wasn't there...oh well maybe wednesday if not sooner we will get it. Just means another trip to bank.:-) Got back home and Rick said boss called...yeah ok will call her back...he said rents went up and they are *****ing already about it!! Oh great!! Why wasn't I told rents were going up so soon??????? OK gets my suit of armor on...called the boss back she asked me who this one woman was that she got a call from...I told her she was the one that was really giving me the business on renting the club house etc...she said ok she wasn't giving her a call back...lettting her stew til tomorrow....OMG thanks alot!! Leave her to me now...lol asked if I could spike the Egg Nog wednesday...she said no...DAMIT!!!! LOL Well atleast they would be mellowed out some....didn't work.
Tonight is the weekly drawing at the VFW. Hopefully one of us wins...would be nice!! So best get going and find some food before I eat all the chips....GRRRRRRRRRR why we even have them in the house I do NOT know!!!!!!!!!!!!!
