Has anyone had a tummy tuck or liposuction?

I am almost 8 years post op and 60 years old. I had the unfortunate experience of having the weight loss surgery right as I started going thru menopause. I have kept off 50 of the 90 lbs I lost. These 40 are not moving. I have exercised and all I am doing'is creating giant leg muscles. My entire body has changed.  I now want to go and have the fat removed surgically.

Can anyone please post here what to expect, how much fat can be removed ( in lbs) and the pros and cons of either

tummy tuck or liposuction?  Thanks.

I had an abdominoplasty and they removed 8.5 lbs!  It has been the single most life changing thing I have done!

so worth it!  Not a bad recovery for me. Drains were the worst thing.

Thank you for you kind reply. How recently did you have it done?  Can I ask what was your before and after weight?  Did you have to pay the entire amount upfront?  This is not covered by my insurance and the Dr.says his policy is that all services must be paid in full in advance. Is this typical??

I had it done about two years ago.  My starting weight was about 295. Got down to 170 and rebounded to 180 and that's where I stayed. My insurance at the time paid for it. I think I had blue shield  yes it is typical. But they have a care credit. It is like a credit card for medical things.
