Its Friday Where AreYou?????
Morning Carla and all to come!
Carla, I hope you have a great time camping...sounds like so much fun. Wish I knew how to quilt, my sister was getting ready to teach me but God Bless her she past away and never got the chance.
It's 6 am here been up since 4:45 am can't seem to sleep very long. Hoping I'll get time today for a nap.
Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all!
Debbie
Good morning Carla and everyone.....
Carla..... I am so jealous!! I wish I could be camping with you....what a great time!!! Enjoy your finds at the quilt shop!!!
Debbie....I used to quilt with my mom when I was a young girl. I couldn't do it now because of my cripple hands. Sure do envy those who can! Do you have community education programs where you live? They offer classes. You would enjoy it I am sure!!
I am feeling pretty good today. I have the desire to get out and do things. However, it is still short lived as I tire so easily. Baby steps right....I can do this!!
I am going to try and get out for a bit today. I have a friend that I want to go see for about an hour. I haven't seen her since December!! She offered to come and see me when I was sick and bring me lunch or something. I told her not to because my sister doesn't like people she doesn't know in her house..DUH! My ex and my BFF Pam are the only ones that ever come here. I am really getting cabin fever!!
Wishing you all a great day!! Prayers for many in need. Special prayers that Trish makes it to her destination safely.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
Good morning Carla, Debbie and Connie and all my OFF sistas!
It's another brilliant sunny day here in the Hill Country! Headed back up into the mid-70s again today. I just cannot get enough of this gorgeous weather! I think this is the first February in years that I have not been affected by SADD. I love it!
Less than a wee****il my husband gets home. He writes that he is either giving away his stuff or throwing it away. He already shipped home the stuff he wanted to keep. He says his guys are all coming by to tell him good-bye and how much they will miss him. He's a little melancholy about it all. But I keep reminding him of all the good stuff waiting for him here at home.
So yesterday I made good progress on my guest room renovation. I got those horrid old plastic mini blinds pulled down. Finally! But OMG, you should have seen how dirty the windows were behind those things! I don't think they've ever been cleaned! So I had to do that first. Then I got the primer painted. Today I will begin to paint the walls, but just a little at a time. My shoulder is already paining me from just that little bit I did yesterday. Damn it. I guess I'm going to have to go see a doctor about my shoulder. Maybe something can be done for it.
Anyway, it's more painting for me today. And hopefully a walk with Benny around the block later this afternoon. We walk very slowly (he has such little legs!), but we both enjoy it so much. He picks up rocks all along the way--such treasures!--and stuffs them in his pockets. By the time we get home, his pants are sagging! LOL!
Carla, have fun camping. Connie, take it easy, love, but I do hope you get out of the house for awhile today. Do you good. Debbie, I made a stab at quilting, but it's not my thing. I did make a couple of machine quilted baby blankets for Benny, but that's all I'm capable of. Trish, thinking of you and praying for a safe journey. Eileen, I hope your computer frustrations at work end soon. Can't remember who else said what yesterday, but good thoughts for each of you!
Love you all!
Hi Carla, and all my OFF Friends,
I am very stiff from being in a tight car for six hours yesterday. Today, my son and I are getting a late start getting on the road for various reasons. Goal: to get to my new home today.
What a joy it was to finally take a shower, after seven long weeks with either a splint or cast on my foot. Good thing, because my entire foot and leg that was covered by the cast was covered with dead skin. Argh. I scrubbed it with a washcloth last night, and then covered it with Shea Butter lotion, then scrubbed it again in the shower this morning, and put lotion on it again.
I want to apologize for not posting more personal, individual comments. Posting from my iPhone the past six weeks was frustrating. My sister wouldn't get Internet, even though I offered to pay for it.
Carla, enjoy your camping trip. Sounds like fun.
Connie, I am so glad you are doing better.
Debbie, forgive me for not remembering what you posted. I know Connie mentioned quilting. I've never tried that, but always wanted to.
Hugs to all,
Trish

Hi Carla and my OFF family:
It really cooled off here ... back down to 36. Not complaining because there's no snow here. We had some rain last night but it was nothing.
Those out east, I hope you're safe.
I didn't sleep very well ... got up at 7:30 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep ... allergies are bothering me. I had to spring for allergy pills (over the counter generic Zyrtec) along with the $539 Cymbalta copay. It's been an expensive week because I also made a car payment. So I'm broke again. I needed to get a new plug for my computer but can't afford that. It's broken. Maybe I can get some electrical tape (I thought I had some around here but haven't found it yet) to fix it. I keep forgetting to get it when I'm out.
More computer woes last night ... two freezes and one page that copy disappeared on it after it was designed. It seems I'm the only one it happens to.
Trish, glad you're on the road, but hope the weather isn't bad. I hear it's not really good around Detroit. Carla, enjoy your camping. My SIL Margaret loves to quilt and is quite accomplished. Connie, glad you're feeling better. Vickie, don't remember what you posted but hope you are doing well.
Anyway, don't remember who else posted ... sorry, I have CRS (can't remember ****)! Have a good day.
Hello Carla and everyone who posts today:
Been a while since I posted, didn't have much to say but love reading everyone's posts every few days when I come on here. Have been nursing a bruised ribcage from a stupid fall 3 weeks ago: got foot caught in my purse as I got up from the sofa and laid myself out on the livingroom floor after bouncing my left side off the armrest of a nearby chair. Didn't hurt anything else, but it was enough. Can now finally sleep on left side and am no longer on pain killers since 3 days. Even went to aquafit last Wednesday and felt ok the next morning...Has been a rough year for injuries and different body aches since June, torn meniscus one leg, followed by sprain and tendonitis and over-use of other knee and ankle, and when finally recovering from all that, this fall. Fortunately not broken as it would hurt a lot more and take much longer to heal as they don't do much for broken ribs and let nature run its course.
We are getting the edge of a huge snowstorm affecting the north east and expect to get about 12 inches of snow . A little less cold than it has been, but not exactly warm. I am so glad I live in a condo and the snow clearing is taken care of.
Drive safely those who are traveling and those not well, hope you feel better soon. My best to everyone.
Jennifer
Read your post re huge Cymbalta cost, non deductible not reached yet for you. I went Tuesday to pharmacy to get my Cymbalta prescription ( 60 mgs a day, mornings) and found it was 100% free ( C$ 265 for the month, our dollar now at par with yours) as my deductible reached already but sometimes I do have to pay something, never have figured it out so always a surprise. I have often heard our prescription meds are cheaper than yours and there are Senior Tours organized by bus once a month for seniors just over the border in US towns to some pharmacy in Canada where they get their US prescriptions filled and go home with their multi month supply. Too bad you are so far away, I'd meet you for coffee and a Cymbalta pill for fibro pains...
Cheers
Jennifer
Just checking in to read everybody's post. Bill is hauling the wood he has been cutting out of the woods the last few days. He spent yesterday pilling it up so it wouldn't get buried under the snow last night. Good thing as we got over 6 inches. I can hear the tractor so he is coming home with another load. I need to go get some fresh coffee going for him.
Everybody Stay safe.
