Snowy Sunday from Michigan
Good morning OFF Friends
Here another Thanksgiving Holiday and soon another year is winding down. And we are all saying where does the time go. We are getting together briefly with my best friend then off home today. Hubbys lay off is over he goes back to work tonight. He has to winterize the motorhome when we get home so he wants to get home in decent time.
Its been a busy but nice family and friend filled memory making weekend for us. not much family time for my side. but we will spend more time at Christmas with my side. it all evens out.
Prayers going out from our house to all of yours. Safe travels to all returning from holidays. I sure hope all of you had as lovely a holiday as I did! I think of my on line friends often.
Have a great Sunday
Morning Jo!! ANd OFF family yet to follow!!
Well I did get the tree up yesterday...OMG what a job!! I decided on the BIG tree this year...forgot it is one branch at a time to put in and then fluff out...sighs....but it IS a beautiful tree once its done!! Then Pat called asked me out for BINGO...well I went...he paid my way again. I won the first game...paid Pat back and came out $7.00 ahead. :-) Had a chance for several numbers on the jackpot but ofcourse I never won that game!!! GRRRR Came home and put the lights on the tree...used blue and clear lights. Very pretty! Today the snowmen ornaments go on it. :-) They are blue and white...love those little guys!!!! Can't find them anymore!! I think they are called snowbuddies? Then after I get our tree done I will go over to the clubhouse where my office is and dig out that tree and put that one up...tomorrow the other clubhouse tree will get dug out and put up IF I have time. I have carpet cleaners coming and also a lease to get signed and I forget whatelse I have on the calender...lots I know!!! Busy monday after a few days off!!
Its 27* here wind chill its 19* said it was snowing but it sure isn't here!!! ??????? Not sure where they are getting it from...lol
Going to make some bean soup in the crock pot today so I don't have to keep an eye on it. Sounds good for a cold day like today! Sick of turkey thats for sure!!!
I want some dress slacks for the holiday. Wanted some for awhile now so why did I wait til now to REALLY want them?? I HATE shopping in crowds!!!!!!! LOL And NO I can't buy them online because I have no idea HOW they will FIT me. All sizes fit me differently! Saw some on HSN last night so this morning I go to their web site...looked at the pants went to their size chart measured like they said...according to their chart I wear a 22??????????? Oh hell NO!!!!!!!!!!!! I buy in the stores here I wear a 12 maybe a 14!!!!!!!! a 22???????? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess I am going shopping for my dress slacks huh?
Well my coffee is about gone so I said to myself when that is gone I will put the ornaments on the tree...so best get going here...;-)
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!

Good morning Jo and Judy and all my OFF sistas to come!
Another beautiful autumn day here in the Hill Country! This weather is just so perfect. I wi**** would stay like this year round.
Well, yesterday, my oldest daughter wanted to go to the big Outlet Mall in San Marcos. I said, "I may be crazy, but Benny and I will go with you." You know, it wasn't so bad. Busy, yes, but not insanely so. We even got a good parking spot--twice! We got some shopping done and then headed home. Benny never did take a nap all day, so I put him to bed really early at 7:30 p.m., and then we had the whole evening to relax and read, etc. A very nice day. I will hate to see her leave today. I just enjoy her company so much.
Judy, I sympathize with you on the Christmas trees! They are a lot of work, aren't they? Still haven't got my tree up, although I do have everything down from the attic and ready to go. Maybe this afternoon while Benny is napping I'll assemble the tree. Then we can decorate it together. I have these little stuffed "dolls" that I made years ago when my girls were toddlers. They're unbreakable. Little stuffed angels and gingerbread men and stars and candy canes. I'm not putting my blown glass ornaments on that tree until Benny is much, much older! (Even though those ornaments are so pretty, I'm not ready to deal with the stress of telling Benny "don't touch" 3 millions times this year!)
Jo, I'm glad you had such a good Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. What is involved in "winterizing" the motor home? I'm from the south. We don't winterize anything here. LOL!
Well, I need to go and cook breakfast for everyone. I'll be glad to get back to my normal routine tomorrow. I've eaten too much good food the past few days. Maybe not so much quantity-wise, but too much rich food. My system feels sluggish and I feel bloated. I like feeling lean and mean! LOL!
Love you all!
Vic yes they are alot of work but oh so pretty when they are done!! Hate to take them down thats for sure!!! I know what you mean with the delicate decorations!!! NO-NO leave them alone don't touch!!! A million times you tell them and then the breaking happens anyhow...best to leave them put away til they are older and do not touch them!!! I now have 2 tress done and one more to go yet...thinking the last one will get done on tuesday...lots to do tomorrow so it has to wait that long.
After getting the one done in the club house I came home to find Rick had the dvd going of the fireplace and the tree lit here...awwwwwwww so romantic!!! Have a week to go yet before we can do our thing...awww shucks he said...lmaoooooo
As for all this food we have been eating...right now I give up...I am going to wait til the new year and start all over for sure!!! Be a heck of a lot easier!!!!!!! I am just going to try hard as I can to WATCH what I eat now but its going to be hard...so new year it is for sure!!!!!!!!!

I love the idea of the snowman tree in blue and white. I collect snowmen! And I love blue, white and silver Christmas colors. Those were the colors I used in my formal dining room for years. Of course, now I don't have a formal dining room and I have a 2 year old, to boot! So we'll be doing lots of traditional Christmas crafts like red and green paper chains and macaroni on a string with glitter, etc. I don't think Benny could resist playing with all my little snowmen. I'll keep most of them put up for the next few years.
LOL re: Rick and romance. Poor baby! Thought he set the scene, didn't he? LOL!
I know what you mean about the food. I was determined to put it behind me today, but then I looked on the preschool schedule and next week's theme is gingerbread! So what am I doing tonight? You got it. Baking gingerbread cookies. Of course, I'll end up trying one. However I was smart enough to fix myself some triscuits and cheese to nibble on so I wouldn't eat the raw dough! LOL! And I'm chugging water. Maybe I can keep myself in check.
Have a great evening! I would love to see pics of your hats you are making.
Well like I said to Connie...I HAVE to find the darn cord to camera that goes to pc and then my friend Carol will show me how to put photos on here....lol ya'll will be sorry I learned that!!! As for those hats...Rick just asked me if I was making them for the whole neighborhood!!! LMAO I love making them I can't stop!! I told him I was gonna make my sister one that was red and purple for a joke because she was old...lol!!
Carol was over tonight and it seemed she was going to stay all night so Rick went into the bathroom and I told her he was going after his dirty undies to show her!! She ran out of the house so fast!! I was right!! He DID have them!! He went right out the door after her with them!!! roflmaoooooooooooo Maybe she will not over stay next time huh?? LOL (you have to understand Rick..he is a redneck and does weird things to make people laugh and he gets her every time!!! even if it is sick)
Well its bedtime and work comes tomorrow...sighs......will try my best to find that cord and get pictures posted soon as I can!!!

Good Morning Jo and OFF Family,
Well, I wrote out my reply, and my laptop crashed right before I signed off.
I went to my AA meeting this morning. Now, I need to do some sorting before my family comes over to have some soup and play Scrabble. Sean and Rachel will come by to pick up Shuka to head back to Pittsburgh.
I only put up a miniature tree this year because of my hopefully pending move right after Christmas. I posted a picture of Utley and me by the tree on Facebook. Jo, did you hear, there is a very strong possibility I may move to Perry, to live close to my daughter? The house I would rent is within walking distance of the McDonald's we meet at. Pray I work out some glitches this week.
Hugs and Prayers,

Good afternoon Jo and everyone....
Jo...I hope you have a safe trip home. Sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving!
Judy....you sure have a lot going on. I remember when I was like that. Not anymore that is for sure! I would love to see a pic of your blue and white tree!!
Trish.....Hope you have fun with your company today!
Vickie.....so glad you have been having such a great time with your oldest daughter. I wish she could be around more often. She seems to be so good for you.
I had a very sleepless night last night. At 3AM when I finally felt like I could sleep I got restless legs and dealt with that until 6AM. Then I fell asleep and kept having horrible nightmares. I have no idea what that was all about! I am so tired I didn't even go join my friends for the VIKINGS game at noon today. The Vikings are losing something awful right now! Another day at home for me today but that is okay. I am resting and relaxing and my pain is finally improving some.
Wishing you all a beautiful day!!
Prayers for so many in need. Special prayers for Aime's family. Also for Margo, Nan, Nancy B, Monica, and a few others.
Love and Hugs
to all....connie d
Good evening OFF family, just bringing up the rear again.
I'm at work and I have another 4 days to work...11 evenings in a row, will enjoy the OT on my next check though. I'm a working fool but passionate about my job.
Went to church this morning, hubby had to wake me up and we did the Praise Team for church.
Came home and took a little nap b/4 coming to work. I was watching the football game and fell asleep.
Hugs and prayers all around and we continue to give Thanks this month, it's not over yet. So today I give thanks for having Aime on this forum, knowing she will be missed and she isn't in any pain. I didn't have a chocolate martini last night but I thought of all the nice things that were said about Aime and hope her family has peace.
