Thursday Morning and Frosty toes In Michigan!

Another shoe hater here!

Today is the first day of deer riffle hunting here in Michigan.  I have been watching 5 does in the front yard and and couple buck hanging around in the side yard.  I hope they stay put so the neighbor doesn't shot them.

I didn't get here yesterday as I got so caught up in my great news.

I got home from the Dentist yesterday. The phone rang and I almost didn’t answer it as I didn’t feel like talking. Much to my surprise it was the supervisor of Customer Service at my Insurance Company. She wanted to tell me that she knew that they had been working on my case for getting a second WLS when the Company had started a Once in a lifetime WLS policy. It was a long hard road and she wanted to let me know in person that I was approved for my VGS surgery.

I’m so happy I’m afraid to breathe that something will go wrong! One part of me says it isn’t over until I’m off the table and the other part wants to scream from the roof tops.

Now to get the center the rest of the stuff they want as a “New” patient!

You CAN win a revision from a Once in a Lifetime WLS Policy!

I hope everybody gets to feeling better soon!

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Aloha Jo and all OFFers!

I had to laugh at the "I hate shoes!" concensus. Living in Hawaii, I truly do NOT wear shoes except when I go to the mainland. We call flipflops "slippers" here and I do have around 20 pair of slippers from the daily black rubber ones, to the fancy dancy sparkly ones for going out. Oh, and I DO have a couple of pairs of tennies (for when I walk), and my closed shoes I wear when I go visit my son and family in Santa Cruz.

We even wear slippers at work at the hospital. And...would you believe Santa rings his bell every year outside stores wearing shorts, a t-shirt and slippers!! It is a little strange at first but then makes perfect sense. Ha.

I always inspect shoes taken out yearly from my closet. Once I found a dead gecko in side, and another year a LIVE centipede.......aaarrrggghhh.

Sending love and prayers to all of us who need daily help in oh so many ways.

Aloha nui Loa

Hello sistas!  I just have to chime in on the shoe train today.  I am not a shoe-aholic.  I can only wear one pair at a time, you know?  LOL!  So I don't own dozens of pairs.  Can't say that I really enjoy wearing them, but I ALWAYS have something on my feet.  Even in the summer.  I never go barefoot.  My feet are always freezing.  I own about 6 pairs of house shoes and I wear them out fast.  And Connie, I NEVER wear stillettos!  I'm already 5'10"!  Can you imagine?  Enjoyed reading all the shoe comments today.  Aren't we a fun group?
