Good Morning OFF friends!

Been  a long time since I have posted!   I was away for a while with a child in danger.   Its easy to hide now with my old motor home!    headed up to see my stepdad and he made arrangements for me to park at his retirement village!     He liked coming out to get his meals!   He is not a cook.

Every thing goes well for Steve and I.  Well except the job search.  I continue that.   Steve got laid off   but with unemployment, no gas expense and some work he picked up temp.  we are just fine there.

we are enjoying some lovely Indian summer here in michigan, though I dont know why they call it that?   I just enjoy it.

I have been keeping up reading as I could get a weak signal sometimes where I parked the beast but couldnt post.  You friends have all been in my prayers..

I am going to go plant about a million tulip bulbs today while its warm today  tomarrow its back to november weather!!

prayers for all friends here!   have a blessed Sunday!

It is storming here in central MO, with temperatures to drop into the thirties by the evening.  We also have out first chance of snow for the season.  I am drinking my protein shake and looking at patterns online so I will have an idea of what is happening out there and can start sewing my own clothes as I get skinny!

But again its not my money so I will like it much better! Guys got most of the yard work done yesterday...had to do it saturday so they would not be stopped with work orders to do. So behind since we had no extra maintenance guy for a couple weeks. Getting caught up good though!! Jason is a good hard worker and loves it here!!!! We both like him alot! He has a couple more weeks to be on trial then he is here for good!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!

Nothing else happening so will get going here then off to the stores for things we need to clean.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Good Morning Jo and OFF-

Got to sleep in this morning after a long week here at the refuge.  Got a slight case of the blues this morning after stepping on the scales.  The stress eating is taking it toll and I have to get control on it stat!

Last Sunday I got a tattoo on my right wrist!  Its the chinese charactor for No  It's meant to symbolize that its ok to say no to people when they ask things of me.  It also symbolizes that I'm saying no to regaining the weight I lost.  It can also serve as a visual reminder to stop me eating for comfort.  Sadly, it hasn't worked well this week.

I've been asked to lead a team of people who are going to outline a book to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the refuge.  I'm honored to do this but it has contributed to the stress level this week.  Silly to stress when I know I'm capable of leading this team.  I used to supervise 45 people when I worked, leading a volunteer team of 6 should be a peace of cake.

We have some great volunteers here at the moment.  They gather every evening for "happy hour".  That has contributed to the eating this week.  Hors d'ouerves have always been my favorate food.  We're all upset about the young man who is running the duck hunt check station.  He arrived with his wife, his 10 year old daughter and a dog.  He claims he was told that the job was a four year term but in reality it is an 1100 hour appointment meaning he can only work 1100 hours a year for two years.  They have been here two and half weeks and have not enrolled their daughter in school.  The wife is pregnant.  We've been hearing a lot of yelling coming from the one bedroom travel trailer they are living in.  The daughter comes out and joins us for happy hour each evening.  She appears to be starved for companionship.  Several times the parents have just driven off without saying anything to us and left the child with us.  I can't see them but some of the volunteer women say the child has bruises on her face and the latest yelling included screaming "just leave her alone".  It's breaking all of our hearts and I think we should report them to DPS before something serious happens.  He calims that he's a disabled veteran who had a complete nervous breakdown while in the air force.  Based on his enrollment date he has never served in Iraq or Afghanistan.

My cousin is in the ICU in Vermont.  Apparently a blocked kidney stone that resulted in kidney infection and septecemia.  They got the stone out yesterday and put in 6 stents.  Talked with the nurse this morning and she's pretty wiped out from the infection but they may step her down to a normal room today.

But in proportion, my life is normal compared to others so I'll focus on getting my head together and back on weight loss track today.  Positive vibes to all of you in need.  Happy for those of you who have been doing better.  Big thanks to all the Veterans and their Families who have served our country so well,

Beautiful morning here in Northern California today. Going to be sunny and low 60's! Hoping everyone is having a great weekend.

I finally broke my plateau I'm under 200 lbs!!! I never want to go back there again. Losing is so much easier than keeping it off and I pray I can do that!

Thoughts and prayers for all,

Debbie

Good morning Jo and everyone....

Jo...you were missed!! I am glad all is well and that you were able to help that child.

Cindi.....PLEASE do something to help that child. It just breaks my heart. Poor little girl. She deserves so much better. Thanks for letting her join you and the others there. She is safe with you!

I am in so much pain today. I am watching football in my room today. It is less then 30 degrees right now. I am not leaving the house!!

Needless to say I am feeling very down today. I am tired of not being able to do the things I want to do!  I will pray on it. There are so many people that are way worse off then me!!

Wishing you all a great day. Prayers for many in need.

Love  and Hugs  to all......connie d
