Good Morning Carla and Family,

I spent a great deal of time on my laptop last night, working on a project on Shutterfly, a photo gift website.  I created a mug for my Mom with a photo of her and the Munchkins, as well as some Christmas cards with a photo of Mom, the Munchkins and me.  I am also ordering some address labels, no picture on them.  Mom has a mug with a pic of Isabel and Lincoln, but not one with Frankie.

I need to get over to Walmart and the lab tomorrow.  Once I go to the lab, I can set up my appointment with my weight loss surgeon.  I keep forgetting to fast for the lab work.  And then Walmart has some photos I ordered, which weren't ready when they were supposed to be.

I mentioned moving to Michigan to my daughter.  I told her I'm going to be getting a settlement from the insurance because of my car accident, which will help me with the moving expenses to Michigan.  I basically told her once I have the money, I'll be looking for a place that lets me have Utley.  BIG hint about wanting to rent the vacant house she and her husband rent.  So, now, I have to start looking for a place to rent.

This afternoon, I'm supposed to head over to the local campaign headquarters to call voters to encourage them to be sure to get to the polls and vote on Tuesday.

I'm also considering heading to the ER about the pain I'm getting.  Part of it is because I need some dental work, but can't get it till I get help paying for Lovenox.  Because I'm on Coumadin, I can't get dental work till I've been off the Coumadin for five days.  To protect me from getting a clot, I have to inject myself with Lovenox the days I'm not taking Coumadin.  Problem is, neither Medicare nor my prescription plan cover injectables.  So, I have to get help from a pharmaceutical company.  The paperwork was sent to them last week, so I have to call them to make sure they got it, and to find out when I can get it.  I can't possibly schedule the dental work till I get the Lovenox situation resolved.

Well, I better get going.

Sending love and prayers to all in need.

Hugs,

Trish

Good mornin' ya'll.

hi Carla, my DH and I are in OR at our daughter's. we bought her a Keurig. She very seldom drinks coffee, and when my DH comes she has a tiny little coffee pot for him. He loves his Keurig at home (so do I for the iced tea and tea). So we got her one here. Her kids are now of an age to enjoy the coffee and tea and her new boyfriend likes iced coffee. So I think it will be enjoyed by all.

Trish, I hope you can get help with your meds. Something wrong with our health care system that this happens. I know you are anxious to get moved and I'm sure you'll find the exact perfect place for you and Utley.

As I said we are in OR. Our daughter leaves for HI this morning. I only have chicken pot pies and meatballs to put in the freezer. I just made a bunch of other stuff when I was here before Halloween. Also 2 of her friends have mending/altering for me to do for them. Her ex is still in Thailand and hasn't contacted her in over a week. He is texting the kids, but no emotional phone calls! He may be getting the message that he is DIVORCED, finally.

We went to a Duck watching party yesterday afternoon but we didn't stay too long. WAY too loud for my DH. He is getting more hard of hearing, and all that rucous just confuses his ears. If you know what I mean. Anyway, we came home and finished watching the game here.

My Sis thinks her hip replacement will be the Monday after Thanksgiving. If so, I will go up between then and Christmas to get her back and forth to PT. I will fly, since I am not fond of driving in snow. Her PT place is near her home, but she lives on a narrow countey road and her driveway is very steep. Yikes! Snow plows and sanding trucks don't make her road a priority. But her vehicles all have studded tires on them by now, so hopefully we will be safe!

Better get a move on. Just fed my DH, but I am now ready for some cereal with fresh blueberries on it.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Morning OFF family!

Well so far today the head is NOT hurting like it has been!! WOOHOOO!!!!! Back is alot better also. :-)

Broke down and went to Bingo last night with Carol. She won the first game and the guy sitting next to me also won...few games later, I won!! I had to split it though....oh well. Paid Carol back the money she paid for my games with. Came out $11 ahead yet..nice!

Tenant had a party in the club house yesterday...first the alarm went off...they let it keep going til they saw Rick coming then ran inside to shut it off! Then when Rick went to lock up he said the side door was left wide open! This morning when I went to open up one of the tenants was waiting to get in the laundry room and mentioned to me about the party and what he saw happen. Seems one of the "guests" left a large box by the dumpster and when he was told he couldn't leave that there as he did NOT live here he wanted to fight!! So...tomorrow when this woman comes after her rent reciept I am telling her no more hall rentals to her!! I am sure she will raise hell over it and I don't care! Just had it with her and her family thinking they are ABOVE the rules here!!! By the way, her loud mouth daughter has moved out! AND IF she gives me any mouth I have the no tresspassing on her in a heartbeat!!! So see how they like that!!!

Took a couple steaks out for supper tonight. Haven't eaten good in a few days so this will be good to eat. Not sure what we will have with it though. Salad and baked potato? Sounds ok to me.

Well time to get my butt in gear and see what else I can do around here that isn't overbearing...can't lift for 4 weeks...sighs.....not sure why that is but I will try my best. Asking the dr friday why no lifting. :-)

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!

HUGS

Besides wanting to win the Lottery I can't complain about anything else!!! LOL.  So I hope you all have a great day.

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

I'm getting on here late. I have been busy doing nothing all day. Watching the Bears game (they're winning 51-20) and looking at Barnes & Noble (I have a couple of gift cards to use ... thought I put through an order, but nope, nothing there) for my grandnephew in Texas. Not really thrilled with anything I've seen yet. I've been up since 8 a.m. ... got up once in the middle of the night kind of achy and stiff both my back and knee. Finally bit the bullet and took my pain pill and feel better. Don't know why I'm hurting ... it's a bright sunny day, no rain in the forecast.

Anyway, just relaxing here with Juliette at my side. She took a nap and now is sitting next to me on the arm of my broken recliner. Two more days and I go back to work.

Carolyn, I have a Keurig and love it. When I just want one cup or maybe two, it's perfect. Sometimes I don't have time for more than that. Since I've been home on sick leave, I've been using the regular coffee maker because I have time to drink a whole pot (and it's easier to carry in the thermal carafe). But like I said, on days when I'm working and getting up at 11 a.m., I often just have one cup of coffee.

Trish, hope you can figure out a way to get your Lovenox. I know my insurance covers it, but I'm not on Medicare. For my knee surgery this time, they put me on a different drug, Xarelto, instead of Lovenox. It was a pill. Every doc is different, I guess.

Judy, glad you're feeling a little better. I suspect the reason for no lifting is where the surgery was done. Just rest and let Rick do the lifting.

Carla, enjoy your new coffee maker ... but why no carafe? What do you put the coffee in?

Connie, enjoy the Vikings game, even if you're alone while watching it. I usually watch all these things alone.

Well, not much else going on ... can't remember who else posted. Have a good day.

The coffee is made inside and you push a button and it comes out. You put it under a spicket and it lights up. I love it. Carla

Am one of those "if it ain't broke don't replace it" people and have a 28 year-old espresso coffee maker which also does cappuccinos with a shortened spigot to froth the milk (i%) so not as much froth, but OK for homemade...with sprinkles of hot chocolate powder..am OK with that!..

Nursing a sore right knee compensating for left knee this past summer (torn meniscus with soft cast for 8-10 weeks) and now right knee and Achilles tendon payiing the  bill..wanting to do too much too soon..

Gee, I wish my coffee maker would have lasted 28 years. My one Mr. Coffee, my first one, lasted a long time but eventually died, I think when I was in Montana or South Dakota. Then I made the mistake of buying something other than Mr. Coffee ... and the rest is history ... they didn't last more than a couple of years. They don't make things like they used to ... planned obsolescence. As for the Keurig, that was a Christmas present from myself to myself a few years ago ... haven't upgraded, but do enjoy it. The Mr. Coffee thermal carafe is several years old now and works very well. One good thing about the thermal carafe is I can't break the carafe ... it's metal.
