Saturday Happenings-What's Up?

Good Morning Family,

I can't sleep, so I've been wide awake since I woke up this morning.  I'm hoping I get enough sleep in spite of the late hour, because I have to hit the road around 11:00 this morning for a therapy appointment an hour and a half away.  I seriously need to talk to my therapist about Mom and the possibility of moving to Michigan should the opportunity arise.

I have a slew of tidying to do over the weekend.  I'm dreading Hurricane Sandy because of the strong possibility of losing my power for days.  I really am dependent on electricity.  The news reports even are warning of the strong possibility of cell service.  So, I'm hoping if that happens, I'll try to access the Internet on my iPhone, and keep up with the news.  I don't have a battery powered radio.

I continue to pray for all who have shared their struggles here.

Hugs and Love,

Trish

Morning Trish and OFF family to yet arrive here!

Cold, windy and some rain again...hear lots more of it to arrive yet with this Sandy storm! By tuesday we could also have power outages...yikes!! Also some snow!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting for Rick to get his butt naked body out of bed and get ready so we can get the tags for his truck.

Watched Say Yes To The Dress last night and the owner had her journey on the 10pm show about her breast cancer. Talk about crying...OMG I do not know this woman jus****ch hr show...maybe it hit because there is so MANY people I now know that have or have had some type of cancer. Just sad. And with my surgery this thursday it also has me thinking...what if the pathology comes back its MORE than PRE cancerous cells????

New guy we hired is really working out great!! Hope he continues!! Rick said he will give him keys for when we are gone for my surgery so he can work while we are gone. He should be ok. Doing fantastic!!! Its the tennants that worry us right now. They can be ruthless!! But then its only a handful that are pissed yet. Their loss!!!! Like my boss said...they only know HIS (Randy's) story that he told them...she is right!!

Hear the shower on...he is UP!!! LOL

On of the tenants daughters talked to me yesterday about breeding her Shih tzu with Bandit. Not sure I want to do that. Neither one is registered but purebreed. I do not want a puppy for the stud service and she doesn't want to pay for Bandit's services IF he does the job...plus once you start a male breeding it could mean trouble with marking territory in the house and other things. My dog days are over and done with. I had enough of breeding dogs back in the '70's.

Well best get going he is just about ready to go now...glad he moves fast when there is places to go and things to do!!! Gotta love him!!! And I DO!!! Never been so happy in my life!!! :-)

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

HUGS

Hi Judy,

I totally understand your tears about breast cancer.  My dear friend had a mastectomy a few years ago in an attempt to eliminate the cancer.  Unfortunately, within the last year the cancer reappeared in her chest wall, and is growing in spite of the treatment she's been doing.  She can't get chemo due to a serious problem with her blood.  She getting help from the Mayo Clinic, in Jacksonville, Florida.  She lives in Ocala, north of Orlando.  To add to the stress, her 26 year old daughter was diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma around the same time she learned of her cancer returning.

I got the chance to see her a few weeks ago when she and her husband were in town for homecoming week at the Bible college where they met.  They shared their testimony of God's faithfulness in all of her health issues, plus a situation where her husband was dead and revived in the ER, due to pulmonary emboli, and he was in and out of the hospital either with clots or hemoraging.

I have been to too many funerals of friends who died because of breast cancer.  I am praying I don't have to attend one for Ruth because of it.

Good morning Trish and OFF family.

Working a double shift today. All ready got a lot of things done, the mornings are peaceful at the desk! LOL

Yesterday I had off and was babysitting for one daughter while she went to the Hematologist. She's doing fine.

Then I get a call from the eldest daughter, she fell and sprained her ankle...watched Holly while hubby took her to Metro. Well she fx. her foot and is now in a walking boot. She will need to get a good pair of shoes to match the boot so she doesn't put her back/hip out. Ugh! While she went to the doc, I took Holly out for a walk to the park and we played. Got all the energy out so I could put her down for a nap (and me too).

I'm off tomorrow so I'll talk to you all on Monday. Singing at church tomorrow with the praise team. Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

Hi Trish and Judy and all to come,

I am worried about this storm. Will pray for everyone's safety (that is affected by it. ) Prayers to all in need.

I quit smoking in January this year. I did fine until 3 weeks ago (round about  then.) I've been wanting one so bad. I know that one would lead to 2 and 2 would lead to a pack. I don't dare start again. Finally purchased an electronic one and I am much calmer. Thank God.

I slammed my hand in the car door. Of course it was my right hand. The index finger was cut open pretty bad. They did x-rays and it wasn't broken. Very swollen and painful, but have vicodin left over from a surgery. It's doing better, but it really hurts to wash the dishes.

Other than that things are fine. My close friend from Indiana will arrive Monday for 2 weeks. I ask permission from the owner for her to stay with me while I pet sit. She wasn't thrilled, but said yes.

Hugs and many good thoughts and prayers,  Mag

Mag,

Sorry to hear about your hand.  I know how that can hurt.  Maybe you could purchase a pair of Playtex gloves for dishwashing.  I had a pair when I lived upstairs because I like to use the hottes****er possible.  I also used them when I would use bleach for cleaning.  Unfortunately, one of them came apart from all the use.  I need to replace them.

Hugs,

Trish

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Trish.....I am praying for you and all the people that will be effected by the hurricane. Please keep safe. I hope your power stays on!!

I have things to do today so I can only post a quick note.

I am signed on to the "Boo's Bus" to go to a haunted house. I need to be at the bar at 5:00PM for snacks. The bus leaves to go to the haunted house at 5:30PM. It is about a 30 minute ride. There are about 30 of us going. It is always a good time. We get back to the bar at about 8:00PM and then the Halloween Party starts. I won't be staying late!! I am going to be a naughty lady pirate!!

Wishing you all a beautiful day!!!  Prayers for so many in need here on OFF.

Love  and Hugs    for all....connie d
