Advice needed desperately RE: Surgery date
Mary....in my opinion I would not put it off. You need to get started now. The only regret I have about my surgery is that I didn't do it sooner!!!
You will have energy and feel so much better about yourself.

Hi Mary,
I have to agree with Connie. Just go on and do it now. You will be thrilled with how much better you will feel and look by Christmas. What a fabulous present to give yourself this year.
Don't worry about compliance. Once you have the surgery, you will be more or less forced into compliance at the beginning. By the time you can make more choices, you will be so happy with your weight loss, you won't want to "cheat". It's my guess that by Christmas you will be down at least one dress size, probably two, and you won't believe you ever thought about postponing your surgery.
Good luck! Please keep coming back and post with us daily.

Mary, only you can decide if you are ready for WLS.
Listen to yourself and you will find the answer within you.
You were gun ho making lifestyle changes and you slipped off the horse. Just get right back on Mary and continue your ride to freedom.
Now only you know if your "special day" will be in November or December or later, it's up to you.
Good luck in what you decide, if it was me I'd take the November date.
Lifestyle changes are not simple, it's something we work on everyday.
Don't beat yourself up anymore about gaining those 12 pounds. It is what it is and please don't stress about it. You will find an excellent support system here. Hugs Debbie
