Monday With the Munchkins
Good Morning Family,
Well, Mom is obsessing about the day we leave. My original plan was to leave on Tuesday, but Colleen had suggested I do something at my granddaughter's school on Wednesday. So i pushed back leaving by one day. Mom is obsessing because she needs to travel back to her town, two hours from where my sister and I live, pack clothes for Florida, and return back to where we live for a trip to Florida on November 9th. I think she has plenty of time. I also know Mom has serious control issues.
Today, I think we'll go to the candle store in town. My sister wants3 dozen Bayberry votives for small Christmas gifts she gives to coworkers with a little poem. I personally don't need any candles, but may get a little gift for a friend for Christmas, because these candles are a good quality, and otherwise, I would have to order it and have it shipped to Pennsylvania.
I'm still dealing with the ear pain. Saw a doctor at an urgent care office down the street, and she gave me ear drops that help.
The sun is shining and the temps are supposed to be super mild here, so I am going to have a great week.

Sorry you r dealing with ear pain still! I feel for you.
I am still in Denver for another six days as the flights are full. I cant wait to go home. Thursday there is supposed to be a snow storm here imagine that I get to see snow! Just what I want to do.!
Well I need to take my friend to work so I can use her car.

Good morning Trish and Carla and all my OFF sistas!
Well, things are topsy-turvy at my house this morning. Chris got sick yesterday with one of her bad kidney infections. We were up pretty late with her. Then I got up early to get Benny off to preschool, but the child just would not wake up! So I just let him sleep an extra hour. Geez, he's only 2 and it's only preschool. Now I wish I could go back to bed, but I guess I'll stay up.
So, my sweet husband and I talked for more than an hour yesterday with no interruptions. Unheard of! Usually we get interrupted 3 or 4 times when he calls with guys needing this or that from him. If crew change goes as planned, he should be home Wednesday morning. I can hardly wait!
It's hot and muggy here again today, but they say the temps will drop 20 degrees by the end of the week. It's usually cold by Halloween night and the kids have to wear a coat over their costumes. We carved Benny a Jack O'Lantern and put it out on the front deck. Something came along in the night and ate the candle! I think it had to be a racoon. Little hands to open the lid of the pumpkin and investigate inside, you know? The candle was scented, so I guess it smelled like food. Crazy.
Trish, I hope you start to feel better soon. You have been sick for most of this year. It's time for that to stop! Sorry about your mom. I was hoping it would be a stress-free trip for you both.
Carla, you travel more than anybody I know! I hope you're able to get home soon, not that you'll stay there for long! LOL! I'm with you. I wouldn't want to get caught in the snow either. I'm a southern girl, through and through. All that ice and snow can stay up north where it belongs.
Thinking of all our sistas today and hoping we hear from some of our MIA's this week. Love you all!

Hello to all!
Well were a happy family the Giants won last night hoping they can win tonight!! Not much going on today, it's raining and hopefully it will stop for the game tonight.
I know a lot of you struggle with regaining weight and I know I will face this in the near future, but I'm down 40lbs which is such a milestone for me. I'm so excited and it's such great motivation. I pray that I'll be able to keep this off.

Hi OFF family...quick stop in today...went for my pre-op tests this morning...had EKG and Blood work done. Got my time for surgery also..have to be there at 630 am surgery is a 730 am....asked the dr if he wanted me to sleep ...lol he sad I would get plenty of it....ok.
Our maintenance man called in said he had to go look for a car today!!!!!!! WTH???????? He had all weekend off to go look!!!!!!!! So putting an ad in the paper now!!! Done with him and his not showing up!!!!!!!
OK back to work...thoughts and prayers for all that need them!!

Workers were out here at 7 this morning preparing the parking lot for blacktopping. We were told it should be done by Wednesday if the weather cooperates. It's supposed to be nice all week, so that's good. Strange that some people didn't move their cars, despite the warning letters on doors. They got their cars towed at their expense.
I'm waiting for the woman I hired to come over and do laundry for me ... can't haul everything over there with my walker because it's too far and my laundry is too heavy. Can't believe all the laundry I had ... I had a whole trash bag full of whites (it's what I used to take my laundry over to the laundromat). Plus, three bags of colors and darks. I'm down to my last two pairs of undies. Really need underwear!
Called the dentist this morning and made an appointment to have him look at my broken teeth ... it's Thursday at noon. It'll give me something to do. But I will need to get these fixed, I think. Can't believe I have broken two more.
Trish, hope they can find out why your ear infections keep recurring. Take care of yourself.
Carla, lucky you, getting to see snow again ... I know you miss it! (not).
Can't remember what others said ... I have CRS. I slept well enough but still feel sleepy. I guess it's my painkillers.
Well, not much else happening. I'll watch the Bears-Lions tonight along with the NLCS game ... start with baseball and end with football. Just like last night. I'm reading a book about Thomas Becket, a biography, and so far it is fascinating because it provides a look at medieval life, too. Like what young boys did for recreation (sports) ... interesting.
