Beautiful Fall Saturday--what're your plans today?

Hello all my wonderful OFF sistas!

It's such beautiful fall weather here this week.  The gosh-awful heat has receded and the afternoons are sunny and warm, but not hot like in the summer.  Even the dreadful humidity is down.  I love it.

Not much planned today except a trip to the grocery store for Benny Bop and me.  His mom gets off at 5 p.m. today (thank goodness!), so she'll have the "night shift", LOL!  And she's off tomorrow, so I have my free day on the horizon.

Less than a week now until my husband comes home.  I'm so anxious to see him!  I can't wait to get my arms around that man again!

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday planned.  Love you all!

 Hi Vickie,
I am winding my trip to Colorado. I leave a week from Monday. Im just going to chill this week. It was a emotional week last week. I am ready to go home. I wish there was a a flight on Monday. But there isnt.
It is beautiful here in the mountains and the Mile high city. The sun is shining a little overcast though.
I am going to make a halloween mobile with my friends little girl today so Ill be in my glory.
My stress level should be down today I hope. I went to visit a friend whom I havent seen in a lot of years. We spent a nice afternoon together and renewed our friendship.
Well I need to close check back later,

Good morning Vickie and everyone.....

Vickie...happy to see you will be having some free time soon...I know how much you value that time. Not that you don't value Benny time but we do need time to ourselves too!!  Glad your sweet hubby will be home again soon!!

I am in a lot of pain today. Going over and cleaning that garage up for my friend Pam yesterday has taken it's toll. You couldn't even get in the door. Pam is a hoarder so you can only imagine. I threw tons of garbage away!! It still needs a lot of work but my lungs could only take it so long. At least now there is a path to get in and a little extra space for some of her mom's things. That episode on Tuesday that put me in the hospital sure has drained me of energy and lung power!!

I am going to a Bouja party later this afternoon. It is an annual event. I try never to miss it if I can help it.

Wishing you all a wonderful day. Praying for so many in need.

Love  and many hugs  to all....connie d

Vickie....Bouja is a very thick soup. It is cooked for at least 24 hours and watched very closely. Usually cooked outside in a very large pot. It has all the fresh summer veggies and different meats in it, The veggies are finely chopped and broth is very thick. It is absolutely wonderful!!!

This is a yearly event at the bar near my home. A huge celebration!!

Hugs and more love....connie d

Good morningOff Friends!
I am in a much better place today!   not  nearly so grippy!   Just had a couple bad days.   Seems like none of us are immune to those no matter how much we'd like to be!  Its been more like nov. here in Mi than Oct. lately   chilly wet and  gray. k   I am not ready for that.
Have a great Saturday everyone and a nice finish to the weekend!
Prayers going up from our house for all those facing life difficulties.

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

Gray and gloomy day, and my body is reflecting that. Knee is stiff and sore. I will have to make sure to get in the bending exercise a couple of times today. I did do it once last night, and then I really hurt from it and had problems getting to sleep for awhile. My doc gave me Lidoderm patches, so I used a strip of that on the knee and it helped ... but it took awhile. I finally just had to lie on my back with a pillow under my knee. I would prefer to lie on my side, but I just couldn't get comfortable. Got up at 5 a.m. in pain, so I took a pain pill, put an ice pack on the knee and that seemed to help, because I slept til nearly 10 a.m.

I want to go out today and get a few things from the store. I'm just waiting for the knee to calm down a bit. I don't want to do a big trip, not Walmart, just the grocery store because my knee couldn't take Walmart, I think. And I need a shower desperately.

No baseball tonight so maybe I'll watch a movie from my DVD collection. Not much else happening. Have a good day.

Hello to all!

It's only going to be 77 degrees today, so much better than 90 the last few days.

Happy to hear your husband is coming home soon Vickie!

Connie please take care of yourself. Why do we as grown ups and know our limits, but still over do it? I for one can't seem to learn that lesson.

Not much going on this weekend I do need to vacuum and dust...yuck!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, thoughts and prayers for all,

Debbie
