Beautiful October Thursday in Michigan
Good Morning Ladies,
Well, this is my first chance to use my laptop in two days. I have just been busy beyond words since arriving at my daughter's on Tuesday.
Got to see Isabel's dance class on Tuesday, where we sat right in front of Isabel, as it was visiting day, and family could go in the room, and watch. Isabel is very good for being one of the youngest in the class.
Yesterday, we babysat for Colleen and her sis-in-law while they cut up forty pounds of boneless chicken breast, and mixed up marinades to put the chicken in, and then freeze in meal size portions. Now, they just have to thaw and cook. They made the sauce for honey baked chicken, and chicken fajitas. Mom and I played with my two grandchildren, and Jen's two children. Two infants and two preschoolers. It was gloriously beautiful yesterday.
Then, last night, Isabel and Lincoln went to a church activity, and Isabel raced a small wooden boat she had decorated. She almost won her race, but almost gave up in the middle, and stopped. Her dad had to tell her to keep going.
Today, we will be babysitting while Colleen goes to clean out a rental that is a mess. They woman who lived there smoked, and ran out owing them thousands of dollars in past due rent.
Mom is reveling in the time with the kids.
I hope everyone is well.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Trish I feel sorry for your daughter having to clean up other peoples mess. My cousin rents houses and doesnt pay rent either. Her husband thinks life should be given to him on a silver plater. he thinks life is free and they done have to pay. he owes people hundreds of thousands of dollars all over town and taxes. I dont get it.
My cousin and her husband and three children are homeless right now and noone will rent to them imagine that!!!!! At least the children are safe with grandma right now.
Have fun in Michigan, Im going to a funeral today.
Then Im going to relax next week before I go home.

Good morning Trish and everyone....
Tri**** sounds like you are having a great time although very busy with all the children!! Glad you are enjoying yourself so much!
Carla....keeping you close to my heart today as you go through this difficult day. HUGS!!!!!
I am finally feeling better after that episode on Tuesday. Glad that is all over with now!!
I am taking my BFF/Pam to her Physical Therapy appointment today. It is so hard to watch her struggling as she was a PT and did so well herself. Little by little she is getting somewhat better. Then we are going over to her mom's apartment to go through somethings as they must give up her apartment by the end of the month. Her mom is in hospice but seems to be doing okay considering what she is dealing with.
Wishing you all a great day! Prayers for so many in need.

Hi Trish, Carla and Connie and my OFF family to come:
Sounds like everyone has something going on. I have my first outpatient physical therapy appointment this afternoon. They tell me to take my drugs before PT, but if I do that, I can't drive. So I guess I'll wait to take it when I get there.
I was supposed to be discharged by the nurse from home PT; she was supposed to be here between 11 and noon but didn't show. Finally she called and said she was running late; she said she could discharge me by phone, so we did that. Why couldn't we do that in the first place? Earlier, the occupational therapist called and wanted to set up an appointment; I told her I was being discharged. She didn't know. Doesn't anyone talk to each other over there?
Anyway, I should get in the shower so I can cool off after before going to PT. Baseball games later. See ya.

Hello everyone,
Well, CRAP! The Sears guy was just here and said that my refrigerator wasn't repairable. It would cost between $800 and $1000 to just attempt the repair and he gave it less than a 50/50 chance of being successful. BIG SIGH.
I just paid him his $70 diagnostic fee and sent him on his way. This can wait until Butch gets home next week to discuss it.
Other than that, things are fine. Not much going on this week. Just keeping Benny and trying to stay busy enough to keep the blue funk away until Butch gets home. For some reason the last week he is gone is always the toughest on me. I guess it's the anticipation of him coming home.
Love you all!
