Saturday Happenings-What's Up?
Well, I finally went to the ER yesterday because of my earache. They gave me some eardrops and a megadose of prednisone to try to reduce the inflammation. They believe I have an inner ear infection. They believe the antibiotic I'm taking will be sufficient for getting rid of it. My doctor was on vacation, or I would have gone back to him.
I thought I had repaired the bag my aerobed came in, but I found a new tear, and have to repair it again. Argh. My kitchen/dining room is a disaster with the bed in the middle of it. I guess I can at least roll it up till the bag is repaired.
Today, I have a full agenda. Putting a large mess of laundry away, packing for my trip, and volunteering for the political campaign. I'll be driving University of Pennsylvania students to neighborhoods to doorknock to encourage people to vote for our candidate. What a privilege to help these students who may not even live in our Congressional District.
Anyway, I am happy that the Tigers are heading to their championship series, and so are the Cardinals.

Rick is feeling much better since giving him the hot tea with honey and whiskey before bed each night! Told the new guy we hired to do the same and see if that helps him...he has tried it and is also taking antibiotics and will be back to work monday he said. :-)
Bought a new TV yesterday. Got a 39 inch SEIKI LED HD for $298.00 Love it!! Its an early Christmas gift for us. Couldn't pass it up.
Bandit got his bath and haircut yesterday...looks really nice and smells good too!!! Can you believe he actually let her braid his tail???????? He sat right there and LET her do that right in front of me!!!!!!!! Now if I even try to brush that tail he growls at me!!! AND he was running around loose with 5 other dogs playing!!!!!!! How do you like that one??????? Mr Smarty Pants!!!!!!!! LOL Guess he loves it there huh??
So far only a couple of the tenants are upset that Randy is gone BUT they are also hearing the TRUTH why he is gone!!!!!!!! So now they are rethinking their attitude on him being gone!! His so called girlfriend gave me the finger the other night when we were at the VFW for the weekly drawing. If she only KNEW what else he was doing she would be leaving him I am sure!! Just glad he is GONE from here...so much better not seeing him and his lying face everyday!!!!!! Can we say the tension is now gone? Oh yeah!!!!!!!!!! Might go to Bingo tonight and IF I get anymore fingers I just might put a call into the police to check his jeep out for expired tags...and also on his girlfriends car for expired tags and NO insurance!!! I can play dirty also!!!
Wednesday is Ricks birthday and I have his afghan all done and have it in the box along with some other things for him that he knows nothing about...lol. This will be a fun box for him to open!! :-)
Well that is about it so best get going. Lots to do today. Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!

Its usually several days between my posts as I dont have internet at home but I pray daily for friends here! Will be several weeks before we have internet at home I think.

Michigan is so pretty right now with leaves turning! Mom and I used to go riding and picture hunting as she called it this time of year, along with a picnic lunch mom loved. I still miss mom. guess I always will.

I'm kinda draggin' this morning. I never could get to sleep last night, despite being exhausted. I've been taking Tylenol PM's most nights to help me sleep, and I didn't take them last night. I know they say they're not habit-forming, but I think they mess with your sleep patterns.
Today we are going pumpkin hunting! This will be Benny's first real Halloween, and I'm excited about going to the pumkin patch with him. Not sure if we will carve a jack o'lantern or just paint one yet. I vote for carving myself. Nothing like a bunch of pumpkin goo all over your hands! LOL!
Benny and I had a grand time planting flowers in pots and tubs yesterday. Maybe I have a little "budding" gardener! He had to visit each and every pot this morning and point out all the flowers to his mom. You can tell he feels very proud of them.
Just a week and a half until my sweet hubby comes home. I do believe we are going to make it. I don't know if it's the prozac or what, but Chris and I are getting along this time. It sure is nice to have a peaceful household again.
Trish, I hope you feel better soon, hon. An earache is a miserable thing.

I forgot to pack my Medifast so Ill have to go and see what I can figure out in a pinch. I guess Ill do full Liquids.
My friends daughter has midterms this week so Im going to play with ehr three yr old so that is right up my alley per say. today we are going to make a chocolate cake. Got to love it!!!!!

Trish....sorry you are having so many ear problems. I sure hope the drops and meds help.
Not a lot going on with me today. I went out with some friends for a while last evening. It was fun but now I feel all drug out. I am supposed to meet them for lunch today but not sure if I will. I am just so tired! Tomorrow the Vikings play and I want to be able to join everyone for the game. I think I will just stay in today.

It's rainy and cold and just plain nasty outside today. I was so bored b/4 coming to work, I went to see my girlfriend and she fixed one of my nails and I changed my nail color, I had them done last week but guess I was ready for a color change. See I would never get a tatoo, I would want to change it! LOL
Stopped at resale store, got 3 pairs of pants as they were 1/2 off along with 6 books. So I'm all set for sitting back, relaxing and just keep on reading. Hugs Debbie
The good news: Got my painkillers in the mail. Did my exercises despite being in pain. So maybe I'll start to get better. The new painkillers make me a lot sleepier. But I guess they're working. They are about the same dosage as the percocet.
Not much else going on around here. Watched a bunch of recorded shoes on my DVR, a little bit of college football in between, talked to my No. 1 brother (Ed) and SIL (Margaret) ... Ed says my mom is adamant about not replacing her 40-year-old appliances despite the fact the stove leaks gas and is probably unsafe. She said she doesn't care if it blows up the house. Woman is crazy. Ed says he may sabotage it next time he's over there ... blow out all the pilot lights and tell her it can't be fixed so she has to get a new stove.
Too bad you're not coming through this way, Trish ... I have a perfectly good AeroBed I'd loan you. But I guess that's going out of your way.
Well, more baseball tonight. I fell asleep during the NL game last night and missed the Cardinals' comeback.
