Morning OFF family...
66* here so far today and wind advisory til 8pm...wow!! Also threat of storms possible today!
Went to Bingo last night with one of the tenants and our friend Pat. He won I didn't as usual...lol. The ex maintenance man was there and so was his woman...ofcourse the looks came and went...we sat next to the commander who called bingo all night. Mentioned about her giving me the finger the other night and he said if he didn't see it happen or one of the bartenders see it happen they couldn't do anything about it. I asked him if he would watch close when we walked out and he said he would. So not sure IF she did anything or not when we left. BUT they ARE being watched now that I made a complaint on them. :-) His paycheck is in the mail for payday tomorrow. Hope it gets to him on tuesday...LOL. Serve him right!!!
Not much happening here today except I need to go to the grocery store to get what I need to make Rick's birthday cake for wednesday. Still not sure what kind he wants. He mentioned a couple different ones so guess I can surprise him huh? So excited on his gifts that he has no clue about!!! LOL
Well best get going here he is ready to go...thoughts and prayers for all that need them!!!

Today the Vikings play. I am usually excited but still am not feeling well. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Tuesday. Guess having a cold won't matter having that. My friend is having a Birthday Party tonight and I am invited. I probably won't make that either. Really, really run down and exhausted. My throat is getting sore again and I still have this nasty cough...UGH!!

After church made some brownies to bring to work. A lot of the nursing staff are doing overtime, covering for vacations and ill staff. On the way to work all of a sudden the wind and rain hit and I could hardly see. I even parked in the parking ramp today so I would not get drenched.
Hubby called just b/4 I left for work, they will be heading home tomorrow. I sure do miss him and looking forward to his return.

I am having a very slow day. It really started yesterday evening when I got the headache from hell. Now, I know what to do to knock one of my headaches: take 3 Advil and drink a Coke. Ha! No more of that remedy thanks to WLS. So I tried a tramadol. Nothing. I got up and drank a ProJoe (for the caffeine) and took a second tramadol. Nothing. Finally I took 2 tylenol PM and around 11 p.m., my headache receded enough that I could fall asleep.
But then I woke up dizzy and hungover this morning. I think I took too many drugs the night before. All I know is I'm still in my pjs at 2:30 in the afternoon and have no plans to get dressed for the rest of the day. But, hey, my headache's gone.
Got to talk to my sweet darling for awhile this morning. They had a big VIP visitor to the rig yesterday. One of the many (MANY!) Saudi princes came out to tour the rig. I asked Butch if he was tall, dark and handsome, so Butch laughed and sent me a picture they took yesterday. Nope. He was just short, average, and rather homely. LOL! And he's an Aggie to boot! (You all know about Texas Aggies, right? The butt of all jokes down here.) However, he thinks of himself as a fellow Texan, so he and Butch got along great together.
Chris and Benny carved pumpkins this morning. Benny just wasn't too impressed at all. Maybe he will be when we put the candle in it tonight.
I have been craving chocolate like mad lately. Must be psyco-Halloween-itis. I want a Reese's peanut butter cup! Good thing we don't have any here. Not sure I could stay out of them right now. So I've been eating peanut butter on anything and everything the past couple of days. Not quite the same without the chocolate! LOL!
Nothing else much happening around here. Just playing games on FB and reading my Nook.

I couldn't sleep last night ... got up at 3 a.m. and was in pain, so I took a pain pill, watched some recorded shows from my DVR and iced my knee until it calmed down and I could sleep. Today, I'm getting some relief, but only if I take two. It's like I'm having a fibro flare too. I have aches in my back and shoulders, too. Plus I'm just wrung out. I did do one set of my knee exercises, although they hurt (well, the bending ones did).
I stayed up late to watch the baseball game, but fell asleep after the Tigers scored and didn't see the end. Guess I didn't miss anything after that.
We had rain last night and it's been cloudy and looking like rain all day, but nothing happening since then.
Well, not much else happening here. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. Vickie, try rubbing some Vicks Vapo-Rub on your forehead and temples and sinuses when you get one of these headaches. For some reason, this seems to help me a bit.

I taught the preschool Sunday School class today. I started with three very well behaved little boys, and toward the end, two more joined them. Afterward, I went back to the ER, and this time they gave me a new antibiotic. I'm praying this one works. I'm in so much pain.
Most of my stuff for my trip is already in the car. I'm waiting for some throw covers to dry, because they would go in each of my grandchildren's rooms. Then, I have to go to my sister's to pack Mom's stuff into my car.
I made my youngest, Sean, a birthday cake, because tomorrow is his 30th birthday, and I am taking him out to dinner when we get to Pittsburgh.
I wish I were feeling better right now. I have had constant ear pain for eight days now.
