good Morning its Monday,

Hi There,
Well its 0221 in the morning and I cant sleep, imagine that! 
Got a lot on my mind. My friend who is sick in Denver has been moved to hospice. I am torn cause I want to be there and not at home. Ive have been looking at tickets. Everyone has been telling me to stay home cause of my low blood pressure that I dont need to be on a plane. I sure I dont need to be on a plane but my heart needs to be there!!!!!
I have to think about it cause I realy dont want to get sick on the plane.
Life goes on!!!!
this week has me going to the oncologist, the massage therapist and then just chillin....
Oh and get this one, I think my crazy sister is bothering my daughter. Ill get the scoop when I call her. She put a blurb on facebook, but didnt elaborate. but I can only imagine. See I took my sister off my friends list cause I didnt want her drama!!!!! So I can only emagine my daughter has the drama now. Man some families!!!!!

Hey Carla and OFF-

Carla, sorry about your friend.  I would definately not travel with that low BP but have you considered loading SKYPE and Skyping with her when possible.  I'm sure the hospice would figure out a way to get a computer into her room and let you talk with her via computer.  Not the same as being in the room but a way for you to at least be there for her.

Today is the last shutdown day.  I have got the cabin pretty much ready to shutdown.  I have to drive to town for PT and a chiro appointment.  Then home for dinner with neighbors.  Just have to close the chimney flue, put out the moth balls, drape the furniture and put up the sheets on the windows.  After 10 years I'm getting pretty good at this although I have a checklist to follow so I don't forget something.

Cold front moved in last night and it's a bit frosty this morning lower 30's.  We had lots of rain overnight but sun is shining today so it should be a pretty drive to town today.

The little cabin is drying out finally.  I'm glad I made the decision to rip up the carpeting.  With the fans and the dehumidifier the subfloor is drying fast.  Caretaker just delivered the new pressure treated joists that he will install after I live.  I've flagged some trees for him to cut down to make the air flow better around the cabin.  Good time of the year to do it as all the bird nests have been emptied.

Well, time to get away from this computer and get some stuff done.  I'm sending positive thoughts to everyone in need.  Have a great Monday OFF!

 She cant skype cause she is unresponsive and cant talk. She knows someone is there with her. she whispers sometime but sleeps most of the time. She will recognise her one child the younger one but not the older one. She knows her husband. She is in and out. She did try to call me last tuesday but I missed the call. I tried to call her back but got no response. I was at the Doctors office. I think she thought I was still in Denver. 
I do talk to her husband almost everyday.

Carla, I don't believe your friend in hospice would want you to endanger your health by flying with low blood pressure,  Pray about it, and see if you can tal to your doctor about what is the safest course of action.  I'm sorry your sister is being so contentious.  That has to suck big time.  

I made a small batch of homemade yogurt yesterday.  I'm straining it to thicken it to make it Greek yogurt.  I have some fresh blueberries to add to it when it's ready.  

I will be working on a volunteer project I brought home on Friday.  Then, I leave to go to the volunteer job.  I'll be leaving there early, in order to make a doctor's appointment.  Hopefully, he can help me with my case of thrush and the sore throat.

This evening, I'm not sure what my plans are.  I have to check my AA meeting schedule.

Carla....so sorry about your friend. That must be a very hard decision to make. I know you want to be there. I agree with the others. You need to be concerned about your health. Traveling, especially flying wouldn't be a very good idea. I will be praying for you and your friend!!  Your sister is way out of line involving your daughter in her crap!! I would be so mad!! Good luck with that!!

Cindi....glad you are getting things all wrapped up with you cabin. Hope your appointments go well today.

Trish....you are so sick honey why are you volunteering. You probably shouldn't be exposing others to this at least until you see your doctor. Just my opinion. Hope you feel better soon.

I have a head cold today. The darn change of weather hasn't helped. I am going to stay in and  rest up. I want to head this off before it gets worse. Time to make some breakfast now. Take care everyone!

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

I guess there was a lot of not sleeping last night. I went to bed at 9, got up at 4 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. I read for awhile (a book called "Molokai" ... Karen Seichen would enjoy ... very entertaining ... about a girl's coming of age as a leper on Molokai during the early 1900s), then finally got up at 6:30 a.m. and joined Michelle Jackman out in the living room. Neither of us could sleep. Well, I got more sleep than she did. Now I'm sleepy again after taking my shower.

Michelle goes home soon ... she is busy in the kitchen cleaning. Man, she is a busy bee. She has been so helpful and I am so grateful she came down this weekend. I just wish I had some quarters and could get her to do a load of wash for me ... but I just don't have any money so I'm going to have wash my undies in the sink. Oh well.

I have an occupational therapist and a physical therapist coming this afternoon. So I'll be busy for about an hour. I was so excited, I was able to do my heal slides without using the TheraBand this morning. That's the first time.

Carla, I agree with the rest. You should think about your health first. Your friend doesn't want you traveling while you're sick ... flying with low blood pressure is not good idea. You are on Skype, and if the hospice can get her on Skype (or some other friend can set it up), you can see her that way. Not ideal, but it's one way we survive.

Trish, you are too busy for someone who is sick ... rest and get rid of your illnesses.

Me, I'm just rehabbing at the Briesch Home for the Infirm. That's the only place my insurance would pay for.

Glad to hear you got the insurance to pay for some rehab place. I was worried when you said you had to go home with no food there.

No, it was a joke ... the Briesch Home for the Infirm is my apartment. Insurance is paying for in-home PT, but that's all. They wouldn't pay to send me to rehab.

Got it!  Those jerks!
