Happy Sunday
Our dear friend Pat Root got married yesterday ... so congrats. So happy for her.
I am still in the hospital. Hoping to go to the rehab center today, but the doc said tomorrow. Didn't sleep all that well last night ... woke up several times for dashes to the bathroom. But I am now off of fluid restrictions, so my electrolytes are up. I got to 1 on my straighten leg ... they went you to go to zero ... and 75 on my quad exercises.
Not much else going on today. Just wanted to say hi.
Morning Eileen and OFF family to follow yet today!!
Eileen sounds like you are doing better this time around? Hope so!!! Prayers still going out for you!!!
Yes Congrats to Pat and Bobbie on their marriage yesterday!!! So happy for them!!!
Not doing much around here today if I can help it. Just want to lay around and relax. Got the afghan done yesterday now all I need to do is get it in a box and wrap it. He still doesn't know its for him...LMAO!!! When I finished it I asked him if he thought it was long enough and he said yeah and turned away. He wants one sooooooooooooo bad its killing him!!! Can't wait til the 17th and give it to him on his birthday!!! LOL!!!
Need to get something out of the freezer for supper but not sure what we want yet. I am thinking pork chops. He is thinking steaks. Might end up with chicken...lol.
So that is about it for me today...have a good one and know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!!!
HUGS
Don't know when I'm going to rehab; the social worker isnt' here yet so it might not be until tomorrow.
Today I did my usual work at the Maui Memorial Hospital.....screening newborn's hearing. It might be interesting to you that on this little island we are having a 'BABY BOOM." Yesterday I had 10 babies...and this morning 8!! Makes me wonder how many new babies are born throughout this country......and how does that affect the future for our children who will be our representatives.
These little ones born yesterday have no ideas about their future....they mainly want food right now!! Ha. I want them to have a wide open opportuity to vote as they wish.......only love them right now....and will give them a future to make their own decisions.
Good morning Eileen and everyone.....
Eileen....I am happy to hear you are doing so well!! Still praying for you!
Judy....flip a coin to decide what to have for dinner....LOL. I think it is funny how Rick has no clue that the afghan is his. He will be so excited!!
I agree....I am so excited for Pat and Bobby!!! I think it is wonderful they found each other at this time of their lives.
I am relaxing today until the Vikings play at noon. I missed last weeks game because I couldn't get to a TV. Too many people around and Jamie and Megan packing to leave on their trip to Sanibel Island.
I am mixed about being back home. I love having my own time but am not happy being here otherwise. I need to get working on a solution for this starting Monday!!
I had a great nights sleep and that felt good. I went to bed at 9:30PM and slept until 8:30AM...I was exhausted!! I missed snuggling with my little Gracie in the morning!
Tomorrow I am going shopping. I need to stock up on Vitamins, Calcium, Calorie Count Boost. I will get some much needed good protein like meat and fish and lots of yummy vegetables too.
I hope you all have a really beautiful day!!
Prayers for many in need. Some special ones going up as well.
Love and Hugs

Eileen, you sound better today! I know it's hard to be in the recovery stage after surgery, but every day gets a little bit better, right? You sound like you are doing well in PT for such early days. I know you miss Juliette! How long will you be in the rehab facility?
Judy, I looked up that Elvis Jr guy. Some web sites still say he's a fake. I find it hard to believe that Elvis had a son and the media didn't jump all over it when he went to court and had his name changed, etc. Something doesn't quite add up there, huh?
Connie, I don't want to hear about you moving back in with Jamie and Grace! Good Lord, girl, you were miserable there! I know things are not the best with your sister, and I know you need to change your living arrangements, but please think very carefully before you jump back into the fire, okay? That whole year was very, very hard on you.
So, you all would have laughed and laughed at us yesterday as we tried to move those refrigerators around in this place. We had to take the doors off the big frig just to get it in the house! Why would anyone build a house with such narrow exterior doors? Doors need to be 3 ft wide to accomodate furniture and appliances. Anyway, we finally wrestled that big fella into the kitchen and now I have to call Sears for a service call! The ice maker won't come on and I don't think the frig side is cold enough. Plus I had to order new handles for the doors since the old ones cracked through when we were moving it. Oy vey! Lots of bucks. But at least I now have 2 refrigerators again and plenty of freezer space and such. I like to shop at Sam's Club and buy in bulk, but I haven't been able to do much of that here at the lake house.
Butch is getting dressed and it's almost time to take him to the airport. Sigh. I forecast a blue funk in the near future for me. I hope the next three weeks just flies by.
Checked my pulse rate this morning and it was 56. I guess I really do have that condition. It's only been above 60 a couple of times all week. I'll have to go see my doctor about it next month. I don't like this. I have always been as healthy as a horse. I've never had a serious medical condition except for being morbidly obese. This low pulse rate thing bothers me. I expect my body to be perfect, you know? Everything should work right all the time! LOL!
Okay, gotta go. Time to take my man to the airport. Love you all!
