Well its not good news and its not bad news...its in between I guess. What I have is Pre Cancer. Soooo I need to have surgery. What I need done is called LEEP. That stands for Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure. I will be knocked out for it. I need to get my birth certificate from Michigan so I can apply for medicaid here. So soon as I get that and the forms my case worker is sending out to me and I am approved, the date will be set. Just sitting here numb right now not sure what to think. Just scared I think.

Thanks for being here to hold my hand!

Hi Judy,
Like Vickie said, it is good news.  Precancer is better than any stage of cancer.  My sis-in-law went sixteen years between GYN visits, and they found her cervix to be precancerous and she had to have a total hysterectomy.  Since then, she's had no reoccurrences anywhere in her body.

I pray the paperwork for Medicaid gets processed quickly, and that you have this done and taken care of quickly.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish...YES it IS good news that they caught it in time!!! The paperwork is what is holding up the date right now...I am already approved but without my birth certificate they can't go ahead on it...have to prove I am a citizen here in the USA ya know...

Glad that your sister is doing well after her surgery!!!!

Thanks for being here for me and caring enough to answer me!!

Judy, the KEY word is PRE !!

They are simply going to go in and remove the affected cells and likely cauterize…so don’t even worry about a hysterectomy yet at all!  Be glad that this was found NOW! Stop getting so emotional about this…you are making yourself sick. It would be much easier on you if you were to be grateful it was found NOW and not when it was too late…it’s also a very common procedure. Try to be positive about this.   You can do this! It's a heck of a lot easier than having to go for months of daily radiation or chemo.

Nancy I AM glad it was caught in time BEFORE it went to cancer!!! My mom and sister BOTH had cancer in their vulva and that is what had/has me so worried. Another thing is the dr's here in this area from what I have heard most are a bunch of quacks...that is another worry I have. Its just alot on my plate after having wonderful dr's back in my old place that we moved from. And YES I am grateful that I do NOT have to go through the chemo and radiation for this...I have been through it with my sister and also my ex-husband and I know it is no fun to have to go through!!! I feel for anyone that has to deal with it!!!

Thanks for being here for me and also for taking time to answer...I know you are going through alot in your life and I have you in my prayers!!

Judy,

Think POSITIVE and concentrate on the PRE part of the diagnosis.

Right now your nerves are frazzled from waiting for the test results. The procedure will be done while you are fast asleep. I don't know exactly how long it takes but most likely it is much less involved than WLS.

Relax, take a deep breathe, and get that paperwok done.

Hugs & more hugs
