Trish, hope you get some help for your sinus infection. You seem to get a lot of them. I couldn't stand them. And hope your back feels better. I am so happy with my back after my procedure. I haven't felt this good in years.

Trish....so sorry you are still dealing with a sinus infection. Can they do surgery for you??

Glad you are getting things cleared away after your accident. I love State Farm. I have never had bad service from them.

Hello my OFF sistas!

Oh, I have had the most horribly stressful morning!  Everything is fine now, but for awhile there, I quite literally didn't know where on Earth my husband was!  Long story short, he was supposed to leave Saudi yesterday, fly directly to Atlanta and then from Atlanta to San Antonio this morning.  I had his travel itinerary, so even though I didn't hear from him, I went on to the SA airport to get him.  Ha!

His flight landed, but he never came out of the terminal.  I circled for an hour.  Finally parked and went in to the Delta counter.  Stupid terrorists and all the insane security measures!  They wouldn't tell me a thing.  So frustrating!  Thank God my husband is a Diamond Medallion flyer (means he flies a million miles or more).  There is a special 1-800 number just for DM members.  I still don't know why, but his flight was switched and he flew to Amsterdam, then to Atlanta, and now he's finally on his way to SA.  I had to come back home to the lakehouse to get Benny, who gets out of preschool at 2 p.m., and then we have to go back to SA to get Butch at 3:30 p.m.  Ask me if my nerves are completely shot!

I will be so glad to get my arms around that man!  I may never let him leave again!

Oh man, Vickie, that would make me crazy. One more reason I don't like to fly (and with my artificial knee, it's even worse because I get felt up every time).

Hope you get your guy home soon. Isn't he ready for retirement soon?

Hi Nancy and my OFF family:

Nancy, it doesn't hurt to get help to sleep ... I have been taking Elavil for several years ... an antidepressant, so not habit-forming. I took trazadone for many years but my body got too used to it and it quit working, so my doc switched me. And then I have other meds for pain that help sleep, too. And sometimes if I'm itchy, I'll take a benadryl, too. But that's not too often. Lately, I've been sleeping well ... after my back procedure, I've been doing well. Knees still hurt, but back is great.

I'm not into the lavender stuff ... I have a big problem with fragrances, they make me gag. I am allergic or sensitive to anything heavily fragranced. Give me fragrance-free anyday.

Connie, glad you have the house to yourself.

Carla, I'm worried about you ... can you at least get some protein drink in you? Or chicken broth with unflavored protein in it? You can't live on so llittle calories.

I was at the doc's today for my annual gyne exam. I like my doc here ... nice guy, recommended by one of the folks at work. No-nonsense type but willing to talk and spend time with you. He's just the internal medicine guy; I decided not to find a gyne this time. After the doctor, I went to Target and spent way too much. I used the electric scooter cart ... can't walk around the store anymore with my bad knee.

It's raining now ... got home in time after the store to have lunch before the storm started. I need to do laundry but don't want to haul it out there in the rain. Hopefully, it will stop soon. If not, I'll have to get up early tomorrow and do laundry. I have to do it ... I'm running out of everything.

Nancy, your women's festival sounds like fun.

Have a good day.

Eileen.....glad you like your new doctor. He sounds like he is really a nice man.

Target always has things I WANT....but don't NEED. I am really getting good at walking away. I make out a list and stick with it. Finances don't allow it any other way!!

Hope you get your laundry done so you don't have to do it in the AM.

Nancy,

Hope that you got some sleep with the new medication on board. . .  it's never fun when we have to succumb to modern science as a way towards doing what we want our bodies to do naturally, but thankfully there are alternatives and like you I love lavender, matter of fact I purchased some hardy lavender plants for my garden in the spring and they have done pretty well, I think I might try my hand at creating some scents from the plants, because the smell when I pinch off some of the leaves, is just so wonderful, I take some and put it in my pillow case on occasion. . .  sounds like you are looking forward to a good year and that is great!

Wishing you well, enjoy your lavender. .

Hugs and positive vibes sent your way, Laureen
