I'm back.
Last night, I became a statistic of the truth that most accidents happen within a mile from home.  I was rear ended about three blocks from my apartment.  Young kid didn't stop in time at a red light.  Minor damage on the car, whiplash on the back.

It was not one of my best days.  I'm mostly upset that I was just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with my shoulder injury from that fall with all the other injuries.

Well, today, I cancelled my volunteer work, and plan to call my orthopedist and then go to the Verizon Wireless store to see if I can pay my bill and get my phone working again.

I have to scoot.  Prayers please.  Last time I was rear-ended it took six months to get better.  That was in 1988.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and my OFF sistas to come!

Oh, ouch, Trish!  So sorry that happened to you!  I got rear-ended by a 16 year old girl one time.  She came out of her car crying and saying "Please don't tell my dad!"  I told her I wouldn't be talking to her dad, but I was pretty sure the insurance company would!  Personlly, I think 16 is too young to drive unsupervised.

This morning I made muffins for breakfast.  I don't bake much since my surgery because I have a problem not eating the stuff I bake.  But since we are having company all weekend, I thought I would bake a batch.  I gave one to Mr. Picky Eater, told him it was cake, and he fell right in on it!  LOL!  Score one for Mimi today.

Yesterday I was making up the bed in the guest room with fresh sheets, and the house got Very Quiet.  You know that giant economy size carton of trash bags, the kind that are on a big roll?  Benny pulled all 500 of them out!  LOL!  Boy, that was way more fun than unrolling the toilet paper!  LOL!  Took me forever to roll all those slippery suckers back up again.

Did a bunch of cleaning yesterday.  Bunch of laundry, too.  Today will be mostly de-clutter and prepare a nice dinner for company tonight.  Carrie (oldest daughter) and a friend of hers are coming for the weekend.  I thought I would cook a roast, with fresh carrots, taters, and asparagus.

Counting down the days until Butch gets home.  Today is Friday and he'll be home next Wednesday.  I think I can, I think I can, I think I can . . .

Love you all!

Oh Trish I'm so sorry!

Prayers are being sent as we speak! Take it easy. I truly believe God gives us what we can handle...but when it's all coming at once I know how hard it is to stay positive. God will bring you thru this.

Big Hugs,

Debbie

Three years ago I had to quit working due to a back injury and was then diagnosis with arthritis. We fought so hard to keep our home but one and half years ago we lost our home and had to claim bankruptcy. We couldn't pay for health or car insurance. By December first of 2011 we weren't sure how we were going to pay our rent or even buy a Christmas gift for our kids. In the middle of December I received news that I was awarded Disability plus was given a years back pay .

I thought I would share a little about my life. It helps me to realize that bad things happen to good people and we do survive it. It's not fun, but some how we keep moving forward.

I'm having a pity party for myself today. I haven't lost any weight for a few days and I'm starting to panic. I know all the reason, not enough protein, water, body is confused as to what the heck is going on, I'm older so I don't lose weight as fast as I use to. My greatest fear at this time is I've done all this to lose 21 lbs. Well I guess I should get off the pity wagon and get my stuff done for the day. Thanks for letting me vent.

Big hugs,

Debbie

Hi Debbie,
You just had surgery, right?  Well, what you are going through is called a stall.  We all go through them.  Change up your routine, and ride it out.  If you took your measurements, you'll find you are still losing inches.

Don't fret.  You'll be back to losing real soon.

Hugs,
Trish

Oh, my, Debbie!  I wish I could find my post from about 3 weeks out.  I said almost the exact same thing.  "Please tell me I did not do all this just to lose 20 pounds!"

Like Trish said, you are in a stall.  I hit many of them the first year.  They are very frustrating, but it happens to all of us.  I promise you, the weight will come off!  As long as you are being compliant with your new eating regimen (which you are--I can tell from your posts), you will continue to lose.  How much and how fast are unpredictable, but don't worry.  Stalls are just part of the process.

Hang in there!

Trish - Sorry to hear about your accident.  Hope you heal quickly.  I also heard about accidents are more frequent near your home.

I am meeting a guy tonight that I met online just last night!!  I had to get rid of my other guy.  Just to toxic and emotionally draining on me.  I need to look after myself.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
(I know, I haven't been on here for awhile)

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

You sure have your share of problems. Too bad you had another accident. Take care of yourself.

I went into work too early yesterday, thinking I was doing one task when I was scheduled to do another. I was sleepy, too, so it was a long day. Today, I'm doing the front page ... so I do have to go in early.

We are supposed to start getting rain from Isaac starting tonight and all weekend ... we need the rain, but there are supposed to be storms, too. Can do without that.

I have to say, my back feels very good since my procedure Tuesday. Knees still hurt ... wish they could do something to help my knees. But the rhizotomy was a good procedure. I didn't even need a flexeril to get to sleep last night.

Well, have a good day.
