SATURDAY WHATS HAPPENING....
Had a pretty good AND quiet night here and hope the rest of the weekend stays QUIET as well!! SHHHH can't say it or they will hear....LOL
Need to go grocery shopping today get the new freezer filled up. Also need to try FedEx and see what they will charge us to send that box of bulbs back. Post Office wanted almost $67.00 and there is no way in hell I am paying that much! When they sent them to us it was like $29.00 so back to FedEx and see what our charge will be with them. Not going to keep those bulbs as they want $449.00 for case of 30!!!!! Oh HELL NO!!!! If they would have told Rick what the price was BEFORE they sent them he never would have agreed to them at all!!!!!!! He learned his lesson fast!!!!!!! Good thing!!!!!!
My sciatic nerve is still acting up since I TRIED to run when that alarm went off last week....will never learn that I can NOT run anymore!!! GRRRRRRR
Well not much else happening here so best get ready to go to stores and spend money....hahaha
Oh!! We FINALLY got our bonus!!! Ready for this?? We got a huge check for $100.00!!!!!!! Yeah you read that right!! $100.00!!!!!! Big Fat Deal!!!!!!!! Not sure how they got tha figure but I am sure going to question it that is for sure!!!!!!! If it is based on having the apartments on this side full for 3 months straight or more they messed up!!!!! BIG TIME!!!! So come monday I am calling the boss and ask.
Ok thats it for me today...Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!
HUGS
Judy....that is a insult of a bonus for the two of you. You work so hard. I think they better reconsider and do better then that!!
Trish....hope you can get that dryer fixed soon!!
I am disappointed that the Vikings lost last night. I still love them none the less!!
I am feeling sad as I am missing my granddaughter, Amanda already. They kept in constant contact with me along the way to Oregon. They ended up sleeping in Billings, Montana last night. They will finish the drive home today. I am praying they have a safe trip.
I am not sure what I will be doing today. I have an event I am supposed to go to but not sure I want to go. I may just spend the day at home watching movies.
Wishing you all a great day!! Prayers for those in need.
Love and many hugs to all....connie d
Judy, your pitiful bonus is little reward for the excellent job you guys have done in keeping that complex full and all the work you guys do. I totally understand your feelings. I hope your conversation with your boss is fruitful.
My dryer broke last night. I have to tidy my kitchen before I call my landlord. It's a disaster. I can't have him seeing this awesome apartment looking so bad. I'm embarassed. All that's wrong with the dryer is the on/off dial broke. I tried to fix it myself, but couldn't get the screws to even budge. The outer dial just stopped working and when it came off in my hands, I saw the thing it's supposed to hook onto fall back out of reach. I hung my clothes in my bathroom in shifts, because it was dark outside and my backyard is not lit. Couldn't wait till today to hang them because they are calling for rain, and I can't drive to the laundromat around the corner because I had anesthesia yesterday. The laundromat is just a little too far to carry a load of wet laundry to. Dry would be a different story.
So, in between spurts of cleaning, I'll be busy trying to finish my newborn grandson's blanket. It's almost done. I'm on the last ball of yarn, with not too much left.
I hope everyone has a blessed day.
Huggles,
Trish

Despite being marooned at home this summer with my knee, managed to spend tons of money as needed a new washer and dryer, and last week a new dishwasher...and in the Spring had to buy a new vacuum, plus fix the AC on my car ( wise, as this has been hottest summer on record)..so has been expensive as I bought good quality mid-range, not necessarily the cheaper models, and spent money without any "fun" so am pleased about the 5 days work coming up as things were getting a bit tight..
I have clothes strewn all over my bed and bedroom, on hangers in different groupings, hanging from window ledges and door frames and footlamps, a real mess...but sorting has to be done and things put back so I can find them when I need them and not spend half an hour searching...
My reward tonight will be a glass of Australian Shiraz (before) a steak and fresh veggies and a peach as a snack, and a late night movie on TV with a cappuccino from my 28 year-old espresso machine ( if it ain't broke, don't replace it)
Talked to my brother this morning on Skype before he went off to the family BBQ and got some news: My niece-in-law is having a baby in January. The rest of the family will get the news this afternoon. My nephew said this is it, but I know Jill wants more. She is a little overprotective as a mom but is enjoying motherhood (as Chris is enjoying being a dad).
I made it through last night but I was really tired last night. I went to bed fairly early for me and slept til nearly 11 a.m. Finished my IHOP omelet for breakfast so now I'm nice and full and will not need much more to eat today at work. I'll take my nuts and protein shake and that should do it.
Well, I have to finish my coffee and start getting ready for work. I agree, Judy, that was a pitiful bonus. But at least it's a bonus. I don't think I'm getting a raise for my good review. Newspapers don't give raises anymore, not even cost of living raises. We're just happy to have jobs now.
Have a good day.
