Fish oil Omega 3 supplements

I don't eat enough fatty fish like sardines and salmon....and my ophthalmologist has recommended I take a fish oil omega 3 gel cap per day.  I seem to remember that RnYers can't absorb gelcaps with liquids/oils as they pass through us too quickly...can someone advise me on what to take?

I posted this on the regular RnY Forum and got lots of interesting answers in case anyone wants to go look.

Try Vitalady.com.  They have a "cream" packet that works for us (RNY'rs).  I think it's $28.00 for a 90 day supply.  We get the chocolate/orange flavor.

Hope this helps.

Early out I did one order from Vitalady, but delivery to Canada and customs charges/brokerage is prohibitive...

I'm really looking for supplements I can get here in Canada as cross border shopping is way too expensive if delivery by mail or worse, courier, is involved, and can increases costs by almost 100%...On the other hand when I am in the US for winter vacation say in Florida for a month ( haven't been for almost 2 years now), I order supplements and other online shopping  delivered to where I'm staying and often get free delivery..Then I just bring back across the border when I go home as part of my vacation shopping experience....

Thanks for the suggestion, will keep in mind when I  shop in the US

Looked at Vitalady's site and wonder if you are reefrring to Coromega Orange and Choc cream packs?  I can get those here in Canada at GNC  online with delivery within Canada  so don't need to get from her, saving me a bundle....

Yes, that's it.  Glad they are available to you there, in Canada.

Hi, bariatric advantage has wonderful omega 3 chews in cherry flavor. That is what I take. I can't swallow the gel caps either. Mona

Thanks, I will look into it although BA is hard to get in Canada and delivery across the border by courrier involves customs and brokerage, at the very least  a charge for opening and checking the parcel even if no duties are payable...It becomes very expensive to import,....On the other hand when I'm in Florida for vacation  during the winter, I have all sorts of supplements delivered. and take back home with me...( Last time I came across the border I had 2 year's worth  of BA's calcium  in lozenges and chews, sublingual B-12 and other things hard to find over here..!).
