Thursday What's New With You?
Good Morning OFF Family,
I hope everyone is finding themselves doing well today. I'm continuing to pray for everyone, especially Nancy, Nancy, Judy, Vickie and Carolyn. Debbie too.
I'd appreciate prayer. I saw the pain specialist for the killer shoulder pain that I've had since that fall in December. He wants aother MRI, this time of my cervical spine. The pain meds I am currently taking don't help. Also, last year, I had to wear a special walking boot due to a stress reaction in one of my feet, the same foot I broke several years ago. Well, that same pain is back again. I can't get in to see the podiatrist for a week. I'm hoping that my doctor will order an x-ray at least. It hurts terribly.
Enough of my whining. I'm getting ready to head over to my AA meeting. Then, this afternoon, I have my volunteer work at the agency. Tonight, I'm scheduled to head over to the campaing office

Special prayers for all in need. I just don't have time to list everyone right now. Do have to say for our sweet Connie to hang in there! Pam will come to her senses soon enough, and then she'll need you to be there for her.
I am almost all packed up. Benny and I will be leaving in a little while. I won't have internet while we are in Nacogdoches. I already let that service go, so I'll be unplugged except for my phone. Benny and I may have to take the laptop and go "borrow" the free wifi at the IHOP a few times. Anyway, I didn't want you all to worry because I suddenly quit posting. I'll check in when I can, but it won't be every day.
Thank you all for the support you've given me. It really helps.
I've got to get moving now. Still got a few things left to pack and organize before Benny wakes up.

I truly feel that way when I am in a funk. I know my biological family is always here for me. But I feel like you are also right there with me. Thank you to all of you. I don't say that enough!
My daughter was out of town the last couple of days. BUT, her attorney was pretty certain they would get the ex's first salvo in the proposal war today. I hope so. It's gonna be like trying to sell something on Pawn Stars. Haggle, haggle. The ONLY thing HE says he doesn't agree with is the amount and length of time for the alimony. She will see if he has other demands/differences when they actually SEE his proposal.
I have a Thirty One party to go to on Saturday. I really like their products, but there are only so many totes I need for my crochet. And they don't make skirts for my big skirt purse anymore. I'm gettin' tired of the one I have
I also need to place another Amway order from my grandson. My housekeeper liked the toilet cleaner and the all purpose cleaner, so I'll get more of that.

I'm cleaning like crazy. My first night home I was exhausted, but it was all I could do to talk myself out of cleaning the freezer so I know what I have in there to work with. I did straighten the living room when I first got home so it is livable for me. Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen. Washed the main wall. Washed the fronts of the cabinets and still managed to clean out the frig/freezer. Can anyone spell M-A-N-I-C? Today is dedicated to the dining room. One room at a time.

Gee, Trish, you have more aches than I do, I think. Although today, I'm pretty close. I'm trying to get the house somewhat cleaned for my friend who's coming down from Chicago. It's slow going. I did get a spot cleared in the spare bedroom for her. Now I have to vacuum. It takes time. My body doesn't like to stand that long.
Long night at work. I was very tired. Everything hurt ... and at one point, my left knee locked up so much I couldn't get it to bend back into place. Ouch! I'm not in the mood to move today. I need to do laundry, but not getting going at all.

Carolyn, Debbie and so many others. I never forget any of you!!
Today I got a bunch of free sweet corn. I eat very little if any corn. I blanched it and cut if off the cobs. It is now in my freezer waiting for my kids to come!! I also made a large Crock Pot full of Calico Beans with ground turkey and turkey bacon in it. I will be freezing most of that in meal size servings for myself. I also made a small container of potato salad. I hate that store bought kind. I have been craving it so I made it this afternoon. Then I went to the farmers market again and got fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and green beans. I will be eating good for another week!! Love my veggies!!
I am supposed to go to a Tastefully Simple Party tonight but doubt I will make it. Lack of money and in too much pain now. Crazy weather...90 one day 65 today!

Hi OFF family, I'm bringing up the rear again.
Prayers going up for everyone in need.
The weather changes are horrific on our bodies. Hot one day, cold the next and getting old is not for sissies. We just keep on keeping on!
I sat in my hot tub for a long time this morning until the storms came in. Then sat on my couch on my closed in porch which I love with a big blanket and Jake cuddled up under the blanket. He is afraid of storms and we had a big one. Lost a big branch that fell down with a loud crack, thankfully it didn't fall on my car!!!
The rain is welcome for my garden and my flowers. We needed it.
This weekend hubby is working at the Danish festival in Greenfield. He is selling his walking sticks and canes he makes. They are beautiful. I think I may even go to the festival after church on Sunday.
Can't believe we are in the middle of August all ready. Time is flying by. Nothing new and exciting for me today, tomorrow I'm babysitting while Rebecca goes gets her lab work done to check on her coumadin level. I'm only babysitting for David tomorrow as the other grandma is taking the other kids to some yarn festival. That grandma spins yarn and makes sweaters and stuff. I must say she is talented!
