Wednesday Happenings
Good Morning Family,
Thoughts and prayers for Judy, and huge praise to God for her news.
Also thinking of Debbie who is probably in surgery to join us on the Losers Bench. Prayers for a safe surgery and going up on her behalf.
I am heading to my AA meeting, and then home to take care of some paperwork. This afternoon, I heading to volunteer at the campaign office.

Good Morning Judy and OFF-
In addition to Judy, Debbie and both Nancy's lets put Vickie in our thoughts too as she tries to deal with a bi-polar daughter and raise her grandson!
Hot and muggy in Maine today. Walked the road this morning and was soaked in sweat by the end.
Not much planned today. Tomorrow I have to drive to Bangor to see the orthopedist about my knee and hip. At the moment I have frozen peas stuffed in my pants around my hip and lower back. In addition I have two bags tied around my knee. I'll also get the car serviced while I'm in civilization.
This weekend I will join some local women and go to the quilt show in town. It will be interesting to see what the theme is this year. There are some talented quilters in the area. Perhaps next year I'll enter one of my quilts.
Well, off to the showers to get rid of the stickiness. Positive thoughts to everyone in need.

I agree Cindi. Prayers for Judy, Vickie, the Nancys and everyone else struggling with health, money or emotional issues.
Cindi, slather on a little yogurt, onion and seasonings and you would be a walking pea salad! You have made me laugh out loud! My DH thinks I'm nuts. But I needed this right now.
I got my meds to take at the onset of a migraine. Needed one this morning. Now I am having shaking like I had before the full blown panic attack I had last week. The Dr. told me when this happens to take 2 of my clonazapam that I take for my RLS. My DIL wondered if these headaches are a precursor of the panic thing. She may be right. I now know what Mom meant when she said she felt jangly. Then she would take a xanex and put her favorite movie on, Mary Poppins. I DO NOT want this to become a pattern. Why is this happening and how do I stop it!? I have asked my DH to keep an eye on me, in case this med doesn't work. I am now going to put a new funny movie in and laugh out loud. Watching my hummingbirds is helping, too. Please think of me. If any of you have any suggestions to help, I am open to anything! I think there is more information about almost everything from this forum from anywhere. Personal experience means a lot. The good thing, I don't feel much like eating.

Grammylew: Didn't you say the headache med you're on is Topamax? My husband suffers from migraines. He's on Lamotrigine to prevent migraines and Maxalt MLT to take when he gets a migraine. He also has Bultalb to alternate with the Maxalt so he doesn't get rebound headaches.
I'm just thinking that it seems like your panic attacks started about the time you started the Topamax. Maybe I don't remember the sequence of events correctly. But, if that is the case, perhaps the Topamax is the culprit?
My husband had to stop taking Topamax because of the side effects. Not trying to scare you but maybe you should ask your migraine doc about it.

Nope, my DIL takes Topomax. I am taking Maxalt. Supposed to take one when I feel the migraine coming on. Can take another in 2 hours if I have to. I have had to take one twice now.
I think I would welcome Topomax. My DIL lost 20 pounds in the first 2 months she took it. I could use a 20 pound loss.

My husband often doesn't notice a migraine coming on until it's fully there. Fortunately, Maxalt usually works within 30 minutes. He's had to take two just a couple of times. The Lamotrigine has helped to reduce his headaches but not stop them. We live on the coast and his head is a barometer for when storms are moving in as he almost always gets a migraine then.
He had hoped that one of the things that would happen after wls would be that his migraines would stop (we've heard that happen to others we know) but it didn't work that way for him.

Hi All,
I tried to post a reply on my tablet but it wasnt cooperating today!!!!! I hate the droid!!!!!
I got to Denver happy and safely on Monday. It was a long and boring drive from Chicgo.....I-80 is nothing but dried up corn fields and truckers!!!!!
I am saying a big prayer for Judy and everyone else. I am gearing up for having hernia surgery again on Monday. I am going into the hospital Monday morning and will most likely be there for a couple of days.
other than that things are good.
I am going to a concert of Jewsih music tonight with my gal pals today.
also say a big prayer today for my friend as she is having a port put in for getting chemo this morning. I decided not to go with her as I couldnt be exposed to germs in the hospital,
Well I need to go and see why my tablet is not charging and why it is acting up.
Seems my electronics don like Denver!!!!! Imagine that!!!!!

Hi Trish and all my OFF family,
Praying for everyone. So much going on with so many of us.
I am glad to report that I got to sleep in my own bed after 16 straight days of pet sitting. It felt really good. I'm very tired and have an entire house to clean. I came up with a partial solution and Ellen is ready to make the change. We are changing bedrooms. She will have the master bedroom and bath with the marvelous walk in closet. I will have the small bedroom with very little closet space. Why do I want to do this? It will give me full control over the hall bathroom. I wonder why I didn't think of this before. I'm happy with the new arrangement. Will trade rooms over the Labor Day weekend. Gives me time to downsize a bit.
Lots of cleaning to do. Working on the kitchen and dining room today. Did most of the living room yesterday and also some this AM.
