 a quick runby from Owosso to wish everyone a happy weekend!    Off to a yard sale adventure or yardsale torment  depending on how hot it gets and if the relief comes in  or not!   prayers going up for all friends  on here.

Carla, I hope you can get a nap in today! Working with very litle sleep can make a person grumpy!
Yesterday I weeded the garden. A chore I hate more than house cleaning! A few years ago my son and DIL fixed up the flower beds in front of my house. She said she would weed them, cause she knows I hate it. But I am doing it! I know the bending over is good for me, so I will do it!
Bent one of my lovely gell nails yesterday. I used an emery board to smooth out the edge where it cracked. Later the gel color came off the bent part. I put it back on with super glue. If you look real close you can see it, but I don't get my hands that close to anyone's eyes!
Our daughter is getting even more frustrated with the lack of progress on her divorce. She is basically supporting 2 households until this is over. And paying 2 lawyers at $400/hour for each. She has run out of savings, and what we sent her. I will be sending her more on Friday. She has an appt. with her lawyer this week and is gonna tell her she is out of money. She told her ex to tell his lawyer the same. I guess we'll see if the lawyers will continue to work and get paid when everything is hashed out!! Or if they will work harder to speed things up! It makes me want to cry! After 20 years of verbal and emotional abuse from her drunken husband he basically hit the lottery and she will be paying him forever. I think he is dragging his feet on purpose to run her out of ready cash. Well, it worked! Oh well, I can't dwell on it, or I will be in a blue funk all day!

Hi Grammylew:  it's not the soon to be ex SIL that is the  jerk in this story, the lawyers just smell the money to be made in delaying and dragging out and your daughter is the victim of the fraternity of lawyer sharks...

Reminds me of an old joke:  Cruise Boat sinks with 500 lawyers on board....newspapers trumpet headlines " Good News" followed by story of sinking....

You're right. I know a lot of this is the lawyers. Judy keeps getting invoices showing her lawyer talking to his lawyer on the phone. They just say they are discussing the case. When she found out this was gonna take months, not weeks, she tried to convince Rog that they should each get cheaper lawyers. He said he would if she did it first. She said no, you switch first and then I will. Nobody trusts anybody.
She thinks the two lawyers are working out their own deal. And it will include them each making a bunch of money!

Morning Carla and OFF Family!!!

Been so busy with toilet troubles here its unreal!!! Got them fixed good enough til tuesday when they come back to rip out a floor to get to the broken pipes and fix that!! 3  days of this going on and hope no problems while we wait for them to come fix the pipes!!!

VFW picninc today lots of food, fun, games and prizes!!!  Looking forward  to going and getting away from all this even if its a couple hours!! Made potato salad for my dish to pass. Seems nobody around here makes potato salad...pasta salad seems to be THE dish....getting tired of pasta diahes...lol.

Going back home to Michigan thursday for the weekend. One of my cousins is getting married. Want to see if she has a Gothic one...hopefully she has grown up enough not to do that. LOL

Looking at possible storms today and tomorrow here. Need rain big time but not the nasty storms!! I still love watching storms but now that we get flooding here...I panic!!!

Well time to shower and get things cleaned up and then go to picnic.

LOL, Judy!  When you said "gothic" I got an immediate mental image of Morticia Addams (from the Addams Family TV show) walking down the aisle with dead roses in her bouquet!  I sure hope your cousin wears white instead!  LOL!

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

Seems insomnia is running rampant through our family. I too couldn't sleep. Dozed off at midnight, got up at 12:30 a.m. and came out into the living room ... watched a little TV (one of the stations has old "Mission Impossible" shows on), had some Sleepytime tea. Nothing on my mind, just my back pain. Pissed at missing my procedure because of that headache. Kind of got a little one this morning, along with my knees hurt.

About 6 p.m. last night, when I was feeling better, I made a red velvet cake from a cake mix I had, then frosted it. I'll take it into work. When the headache lifted, I had all this pent-up energy.

Anyway, nothing new with me. Back to work. Have a good day. Carolyn, sorry your daughter is going through this. Your soon-to-be former SIL is a real ass; sorry for the language, but I couldn't think of a better word.

Eileen--there's not a better word.  Maybe a few worse ones!  What a jerk.  Carolyn, sorry the divorce just keeps dragging on and on.  I think those attorneys are the REAL JERKS!

Carla, hope you are able to make your trip back to CO this week.  Be safe and careful traveling.

I am a happy Mother Hen today.  All my chickies here under my roof!  We are going to the Outlet Malls here in a little bit.  Carrie needs a new dress for a wedding next weekend.  Benny needs new shoes.  Chris needs new everything--underwear, socks, shoes, etc.  Me?  I'm just along for the ride.  Not planning to buy anything for myself unless something just really jumps out at me. 

Nothing much new to report today.  Just happy to be spending time with my girls.

P.S.  Oh, Trish, meant to tell you: Special Olympics sent me an email with the new colors:  Red Heart Cherry Red and Heather Gray.  Hurray!  I'm going to start making my scarves right away.  I've been dying for a new project.  The scarves will be a perfect project with Benny in the house.  I plan to do a lot of them this year.
