I'm here, but that's as much as I can say
I'm home. Surgery was the 16th, and then again on the 17th. Out of the hospital Monday evening. No pain meds today; almost no sleep (just dozing off occasionally). Can't lay down,, can't sit up, and today I've been weaker than any day so far.
Bright spots: bloating is going down, I'm keeping my protein down without a problem, and I'm getting all of my fluids in.
Talk soon--

Judy,
Sounds like you had some issues there, having gone back into surgery. . . pain meds are a good thing, if taken as needed and they can aid your body in getting sleep so that healing takes place. . . good to read that your able to get your protein and fluids in, as that will help you get stronger and I would definitely stay in touch with your surgeon if your energy level does not increase in the next couple of days, not like ready to do a race, but enough that you can move about more freely. . .
Take care and welcome to the Losers Bench, hope things go smoother from here on. . .

I'm so sorry you had to have two surgeries. I hope you'll be able to get your energy back soon.
I agree with Laureen. Medication could help you get moving more quickly. It's so important to sip and walk as much as possible. If taking your pain medication makes it possible to walk more, that's a good thing. The more you walk, the stronger you'll feel.
Praying you get stronger each day. Hang in there.
Hugs,
Trish

Hello Judy....I was wondering when we would hear from you. Sorry you had a complication and needed another surgery. I hope your recovery goes well now. Every day will get a little easier.
I had a complication and another surgery too. I ended up in the hospital longer then planned too. I still have no regrets that I had the WLS.
I am still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated on how you are doing.

HUGS....Judy...CONGRATS!!! Hang in there it WILL get better for you as time goes on! Not sure which type of surgery that you had though. Open? Lap? RNY? As long as you are getting in your fluids more each day you will be fine...don't over do it...nobody can get the full amount right away no matter what kind of surgery they have had.
Hang on...its a wild ride!!!
